 First Part:

She just woke up one morning and that’s when she’s known of his decision of leaving her. He didn’t say anything. He just left her with bittersweet memories to ponder on, and a broken heart she’d never know how to fix back into how it was before he came into her life.

Love is the most beautiful thing ever existed. Or at least Li Yin believes that love is indeed the most beautiful thing she had ever known of.

Tears brimmed at the edge of her eyes as she strolled past the seashore, with bare feet covered with white sand. She watched as the waves danced in sync before settling herself into sitting on an enormous rock innocently sitting at the edge of the shore. She remembered how she used to do the same thing with someone she loved the most. They would watch how calm the waves would be as it creates rustling sounds as it moves. They’ll be sitting there while he rests his head on her lap and while she runs her fingers through his hair until the sun sets, watching how its orange rays will reflect to the ocean water. They would sometimes sit there in comfortable silence, or talk about things they kept hidden in the boundaries of their relationship.

“Li Yin-ah,” He whispered, his chin resting on her shoulders. They decided to have a walk along the shore and wait for the sun to set. Then afterwards, they’re going to have a dinner at the balcony of their home that gave a perfect view of the ocean especially at night. He would prepare the table with candle lights on, while she gets their food ready. “I love you,” he continued after she responded with a soft hum. Donghae was the romantic type, and so as Li Yin so they make every night special by having dinners or going out just to wander around the beach.

He heard her giggle before pulling herself up to stare at his eyes. He found her beautiful, and her innocent eyes flashed nothing but the sincerity of her love for him. “I love you too, Lee Donghae.” She said, cupping his cheeks.

She smiled bitterly as she remembered those times. When he always says that he loves her, and then she’ll tell him that she loves him back, that no one could ever love him like she does. She played with the water splashing against her feet and found a seashell under the clear water. She picked it up and clutched it close to her chest. Tears continued to flow as she let it drain all the pain away.

She gasped as she felt someone putting something around her neck. She reached a hand to feel it, and there she saw Donghae grinning after putting the necklace on her. “Isn’t it beautiful?” he asked, the grin still present on his face. “I made it out of seashells because you liked seashells so much.”

She nodded and hugged him tight, whispering a soft “Thank you,” followed by “I love you, Donghae.” against his ear. He would hug her tighter, creating small circles on her back and he would kiss her softly, as gentle as he is.

She stood up from where she was seated and started to head back to her house which was once theirs. She sometimes hated to have to stay in the very same place where they used to live in happily together, as if they own the whole world to themselves.

Whenever it rained, they used to stay inside the house, sitting on the couch while cuddled up against each other. He would keep her safe and warm in his arms while she rests her head against his chest. She would sometimes fall asleep in the middle of their conversations, and Donghae gladly watches her as she’s slowly drifting off, listening to her soft sleeping sounds that had always been music to his ears.

“Ouch!” she rubbed her head and frowned.

“I’m sorry! Did I hit you too hard?” he asked worriedly, letting go of the pillow in his hand as he reaches up to her to check if she’s badly hurt. Yes, they’re old enough yet they seem like a young couple having series of pillow fights.

She flashed him a mischievous look before hitting him harder as a form of revenge. He stumbled back, causing him to fall onto the floor. Her crunchy laughter echoed through the room, and soon after, Donghae laughed with her, realizing how stupid he looked like after falling over because of a girl’s attack.

She plopped herself down on the couch, seeming too exhausted to even move. Everything she sees reminded her of him. Everything seems like the way it used to be. She hadn’t changed the light blue bed sheets, the cream coloured pillow cases or even the position of the picture frames sitting on the side table. Because Donghae wanted it like that… the books that Donghae used to read were still there, under the coffee table, waiting to be opened up again. Because Donghae wanted it to be there so he can easily get them... he wanted it like that…

The pillows, the couch, and even the bed still smelled like him, giving her the feeling that nothing had changed at all.

TBC.

A/N: Hello! I'm new to using Wattpad for posting my stories, so I'm unfamiliar with the ways on how to use the site, but I hope that I could learn it fastly. Uh, enjoy? It's an angst, and uh... a two-shot story, so yeah. =)))) Btw, I based this from Li Yin's song, Moving On.
