" I got the projector!" Steven chimed happily holding up the device.
"And I got the laptop!" Connie said placing the computer on the table.
"And I brought me!" You added cheerfully glad to be able to finally hang out with the two.
"So what is this game anyway?" Steven asked setting the projector down gently.
"It's a game my other friends and I played together," you explained starting to hook up the projector. "You click the numbers in the numerical order they go in and try to do it as fast as possible. Since we have a smart board we can do it together if we're careful."
"Oh my teacher has one of these! She won't let the class touch it since she thinks we'll ruin it." Connie turned to Steven," it's like an electric whiteboard but if you use an actual dry erase marker on it it will ruin it."
Connie opened up a program and then grabbed one of the electronic pens before doodling Steven on the board. She added a mustache for artistic taste. "See?"
"Oh wow!" Steven gasped in amazement, "it's like magic!"
The program quit as you started to set up the online game. "Okay guys if you see a number that isn't the current one but is close yell it out. If you find the current one push it and tell us that you got it so we can move on as fast as we can. You ready?"
"Ready!" They both chimed and you chuckled at how enthusiastic they were.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Okay guys we need 28!" You slightly yelled while scanning the board as fast as you could. Steven and Connie stood next to you just as apprehensive.
"Ahah 29!" Steven called.
"Steven no!" But Commie's warning came too late and Steven clicked the wrong number.
The game stopped and groans of frustration filled the room.
"Ugh! Last time we were almost to 100!" You cried out flopping onto the hardwood floor. Which, a second later, didn't seem like a good idea for your back.
Connie sighed in defeat. "We're never gonna get back up there. We can't even get past 30 anymore." She sat cross legged on the floor.
"Yeah maybe we should just give up." Steven joined his friends on the floor. "Sorry I messed up the thing."
"Don't worry about it Steven I messed up five times and (y/n) messed up at least four."
"Six." You pipped up. "And besides Steven it's just a game."
"But you really wanted to do this in under a minute!"
"I know but it was just nice trying with you guys. I haven't been able to hang out with y'all recently and I missed you guys." You would have said more but a bright flash of light killed your train of thought. "Huh?"
"We're helping you win this." Stevonnie said confidently standing above you offering their hand. "Thats what friends are for right?" They said with a warm smile.
You smiled back and took their hand letting the fusion pull you to your feet. "Let's do this!" You cheered with new hope shining in your (e/c) eyes.
------------------------------------------------------------------
"I got 23!" "I found 27 and 26 (y/n)!" "There! I got 24 and 25." "Now we just need 28- there-WAIT NO."
Stevonnie halted their hand in the nick of time avoiding the ill fate of Steven from repeating. Their eyes landed on the correct number this time. "28!" They tapped the button and the pattern continue back and forth between you two.
"Done!" You cheered pausing to look at the timer. 59 seconds. You had done it.
"We did it!" You jumped and yelled.
"We did? We did!" Stevonnie scooped you into a hug which you returned enthusiastically. You both hoped up and down for a moment before letting each other go. Smiles dominated both of your features.
"What do you say about a celebratory donut Stevonnie? My treat."
"That sounds great! Race you there?"
"You're on!" You ran out the door of Steven's house. "Last one is a rotten egg!"
"Hey that's cheating!" Stevonnie called heading after you.
