Kate's
I went straight to the bowling alley. I thought what I was already wearing would work. I was walking up to the door when Jerry ran up.
" Hey Jerry." I said once he got up to me.
" Hey kate. I thought I would walk u in and see if ur ok." He asked with concerning eyes.
" Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I lied
" I don't know. Maybe that fact that you walk in on Ja......"
" Don't even start please." I interrupted.
" Where did you go?"
" To see the master sensei." He gave me a look saying 'I know your lying' but he didn't press the matter.
" Come on in." He said holding the door open for me.
" Thank you." There was two people in the room; Milton and Rudy. I got a hug from both of them.
" You ok?" Milton asked.
" Yeah. I'm fine." I answered back.
" Ok then let's get to the fun." We had a blast hanging out and playing some bowling. The guys could sense that I didn't want to talk about what happened earlier, So they didn't bring it up. Instead we talked about home and all of the great memories we had together. That was until someone walked through the door.
" Jack, What are you doing here?" I asked taken aback.
" I came to hang out with u guys." He said looking at everyone but me. The guys pushed me behind them.
" Look..." Milton started before I cut him off.
" No let him stay." I said as I walked out the door. I got a few feet before Jerry ran up beside me.
" I thought you would need company."
" Thanks."
" How are you going to do in the tournament if you can't even look at him?"
" I can it's no problem."
" You sure?"
" Yeah." That's when Jack runs up.
" Hey. Look Kate..." He said before I cut him off not looking into his eyes.
" No, you were right. You and Kim have a lot of history and I just got here not to long ago. It would have never have worked. But we can still be friends."
" But Kate..." This time I looked and saw the hurt in his eyes but I couldn't tell if it was just a mask.
" It's for the best. I wish you and Kim all the happiness in the world." That's when I ran out of the conversation and Jerry was right behind me. We got to the hotel and went up to my room. Jerry entered closing the door.
" Look Jerry, I appreciate you working about me but I'm fine." I said on the break of tears.
" Kate, I've known you for awhile now. Long enough to know that your not ok. What's going on between you two?" He said worry in his eyes as he sat beside me on my bed. I didn't know how much longer I could stop myself from crying.
" You just heard. Jack and I are just friends."
" But you still love him?"
" That doesn't matter. This is for the best." And that's when the tears started to come out. Jerry tried to comfort me.
" But he still loves you."
" No. He's made that pretty clear this morning."
" Look I don't know what you thought you saw but Kim came on to Jack. Jack would never hurt you. It wasn't Jack who did it. After you left he pushed her away and told her to leave him alone. That he loved her before but now he is with you. And he loves you."
" He said that." I wiped away some of the tears.
" Yeah. He did."
" I have to go find him. I have made a big mistake." I ran out of the room leaving a smiling Jerry. I ran to the bowling alley and found Milton and Rudy.
" Hey guys. Where's Jack? I think I made a big mistake." They looked at each other obviously trying to hide something. "Guys, where is Jack?" They felt it was hopeless trying to hide it so they moved aside showing Jack and Kim together on one of the couches. I walked over about to brake down.
" Kate?" Jack said obviously shocked to see me.
" Jack, can I talk to you?" He looked at Kim then followed me outside.
" Yes?" He asked as we finally got outside.
" I made a big mistake. Jerry told me what happened after I left. I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?" I said looking hopeful.
" Of course." When he said that I went to hug him when he put his arms out.
" You were right. You just got here and can't trust me. I've made a lot of mistakes myself. So I think it is smart to just stay friends. I hope you understand." I was crushed by those words he just spoke. I didn't know what to say so I just nodded my head. He walked back inside. I was shocked. I just stood there for the longest time before I finally started my walk to the hotel. When I got there I lied down on my bed and let the tears roll out. I guess it was my fault for not trusting him, for saying what I did. I didn't know what to do any more. I was heart broken. It kills me. That's when I heard a knock on the door. I wiped away some of the tears then walked over to the door. I opened it to see all three milton, jerry, and rudy.
" What are you guys doing here?" I asked as they walked in.
" Cheering you up." Milton said.
" Yeah so put on your best dress. We are all going dancing." Rudy said.
" What?" I said.
" Of course Jerry is going with that French girl and Rudy meet the sensei of the Spain team and is going with her." Milton said.
" What about you?" I asked.
" While I would love it if you accompanied me tonight." Milton said doing a stupid now and holding out his hand.
" Ok. I'll go. Just give me sometime to get changed." They all cheered then left the room giving me time to get ready. After some time I was ready. I was in a light blue silk dress with no straps that went a little above my knee and some blue high heels. I had on full makeup with bright red lipstick. I had my hair up in a bun with two strands of curly hair hanging down. I had on a neckless with a light blue stone and matching earrings. I walked down stairs to meet the guys. They were all wearing tuxes with black ties. Jerry was with a French girl who had on a long sleeve red dress and heels. Rudy was with a Spanish women around age 30 with a long sleeve black dress with flats. The guys all turned when they saw me. All they did was stare. I meet Milton and he held out his hand for me. I took it without hesitation.
" You look great." The guys said.
" Why thank you." I said smiling.
" Shall we go?" Milton asked and with that we were off. We came up to a big building full of bright lights and people. It was a beautiful place. We walked in and everyone split up.
" Wow this is wonderful." I said.
" We just wanted to make you happy." Milton said looking off. The music was turned up and we all started dancing. I had to admit it was a lot of fun. Just me and the guys. Nothing else matter at that time. It was just me and my friends.
