"Bang!" I hear the gun go off at Sam's track thing. I never really got this game to much .It has been two months since the night at the lodge. Sam ran so much that night that she decided it would be a good idea to try track. It would be a perfect thing to get her mind off, Josh still being missing.Sam and Chris where hurt the most after they didn't find Josh.For the rest of the group.Emily and Matt are together again.Jessica just left the hospital two days ago her and Mike were so happy.They are like two peas in a pod, you can't separate them! Now for Chris and I,we aren't dating but we rarely separate . Speaking of.I look up to see him up on the hill in a tree.He is so strange. I better go see him, I gather up my note books and papers and start walking up the hill. I wave to him a few times before I get to the top. He still hasn't seen me!
"Hey Tarzan I'm coming up!"I say with a playful yet serious tone.I start to climb up the tree I can only reach the very bottom branch.He looks down at me with his ocean blue eyes, as he stares back into my green ones. He cracks his cute yet happy crooked smile.His black rimmed glasses are so hot and cute.
"Hey Ash you look beautiful today." As he said this his cheeks got a red tint to them. I stare at his perfect smile, I wish I could just kiss him. Even the scares on his forehead are amazing.
"Thanks Chris!" I say completely in shock. We are now eye level with each other, finally.My 5.9 height compared to his six and a half foot tall height make it difficult.
"What are you doing up here?"I ask him trying to start a conversation with him.
"Well watching Sam.Hey she is in first place!"he said very excitedly.I look down at the track to see Sam on the final stretch and the other schools half way around the track.She is running like there is no tomorrow geez!
"First place Samantha Panettiere."The announcers voice came on to the speakers.(why not use her real last name:)Chris and I brushed into cheers and whistles.We hurried and gathered our stuff and ran down to Sam,Mike,Matt,Emily,and Jess.
"Nice job!"Chris say while I give Sam a hug.She was all red on the nose and cheeks from running.She was also sweating but I didn't mind.
"What is your secret for running ?"I ask her actually really curious.I know I say I don't get into this game but it's a good question.
"Well Ash to be honest.I just run like there is a wendigo after me.It works."She says stuttering a few times because of tiredness and giggling with at the last bit.
"You guys want to go out to celebrate?My treat."Emily says.She really is nicer now,I guess the windigo knocked some sense into her.Man did she deserve it.
"After I go home and change I'll come!"Sam says starring down at her sweat stained gym outfit.
"Count us in!"Mike say referring to himself and Jessica.
"I kinda have to go."Matt doesn't really like to go to fancy places that often.
"Me too!"Chris and I say at the same time.I turn around just to start blushing right after our eyes meet.
"Jinx!"he squealed giggling like a little kid.
"See you guys around."Chris and I walked across the field to the track and then into the woods. We were just talking until I got a text from my mom.
Hey Ashley your father and I will be going out to eat so you will be home alone tonight

"Hey Chris,lets swing by your house and get your clothes and go to my house.My parents won't be there."I say smiling friendly.I hope he won't find that weird.
"Sure."Chris says as we get into his truck.
