Determination is the best thing you got for yourself sometimes..
Dream~-
I kept on playing with the small snowflakes over my right hand as they float, circling each of my fingers. I stop on my tracks as I turn the flakes onto water, spreading a little while as I put them together. I made a bubble poking it to put my index finger in and pop the bubble by the air pressure I made at the tip of my finger.
I sigh. Closing my eyes to feel the breeze of the night slapping my pale white face. I hear footsteps heading my direction causing me to open my eyes.
"Dear. What are you still doing here at the garden?" A female's soft voice rang in my ears as I felt a hand on my left shoulder.
"Nothing auntie. I just want to feel and take up the fresh air from here." I answered as I look at her face as pale white as mine. Red lips that doesn't even show any trace of lipstick and natural long eyelashes.
Batting her deep violet almond shape eyes. She chuckled a bit. "Well then that is a thing. A reason why you are still here at midnight."
"I guess your right auntie Keen." I smiled.
"Tell me dear. Something bothering you?"
"I'm turning eighteen yet I can't still figure out who I really am."
She sigh. Holding my hands between my thighs. She speaks. "Your past is very complicated dear. Like what I always tell you. You will remember them when you turn 18."
"I know. I was just. Very curious you know? I mean.. How can I remember in an instant everything after 8 months? After all these years why only at eighteen? If this amnesia is as normal as others then why can't I even remember anything little by little?" I felt frustrated.
"I'm so sorry dear. But that thing happened for your safety."
"Do you know anything how did I got this condition?" I fired.
"Yes dear. I was the one who do that."
I tried to speak. No. Shout at her but no sounds escapes my throat.
"You will know who you really are at eighteen." She snaps her fingers and we are now in a forest. "This place." She snaps again and we are in a big school. "Is where you will be."
At last I can speak. "What do you--
"Let's go! Oh. Ooohh the that you pop girl makes me go cry. Show me what you got girl. You can be my new thang."
I groan and pick my nosy phone to shut the alarm off. Looking at the time, 5:00 a.m. in the morning. Checking at the date.
"Oh. Its Thursday." I said in a lazy tone as I sit up straight. I yawn, stretching my arms up in the air as I stand up to my bed side. I fix my bed and dance by the beat of my favorite song: Starlight by Taylor swift. My phone is loud enough so I can still hear it from the bathroom as I take a warm shower.
"And I said oh my? What a marvelous tune? It was the best night didn't even think how we move. The whole place... Is stressed to the night and we were dancing (dancing) like I'm made of starlight(starlight)"
I shut the shower off and pull my light blue bathrobe on. Closing my bathroom's door, I heard soft knocks from my front door.
"Carlisle? The breakfast is already serve." I heard Auntie call.
"Coming!" I shout back as I move my legs towards the walk-in closet and pick on something to wear.
My very own OOTD.
- Plain Red T-shirt.
- School uniform skirt.(blue)
- Violet heeled rubber shoes.
Its awfully simple. I know. But I like it that way.
I blow dry my hair as I check on the time.
6:00. The class starts at 7:30 so I still have time.
After the drying. I tour my hair in a messy bun as I wear my fake glasses and walk myself downstairs.
"Good morning Lady Jam(jaym)" Mrs. Rosewood, the head maiden, greeted me with a bow as I walk myself downstairs.
"Good morning." I greeted like a professional mistress of this mansion.
"Carlisle, sweetie, take a seat." My auntie smile warmly at me. "How your sleep?"
I pick up an egg and bacon strips reaching for the bread as I answer my auntie's question. "Same old." I swallow my food.
"Same old? You mean. The dreams again?"
I nodded as I drink the glass of juice.
"Dreams. Gah." Max, my cousin, sneered.
"Quit blabbering around. Max." My auntie sneered as she made face.
"Yeah yeah." He roll his eyes as he continued to eat.
"You told me my memories will be back by eight months." I looked at auntie who seemed to be eager to know more. She nod her head signaling me to continue. "But before that. I was playing with a snowflake on my hand and it was floating. It becomes a water then a bubble." I stopped. "Then. There is a forest. And a big school gate. A school gate I didn't even recognize to exist at all."
"Because you were just dreaming!" My cousin snapped.
"Hush!" My auntie said.
"The thing is. Why would I kept on dreaming that same event? I mean. Last weak it was just a place where everything is burning. Im not in there yet there is a little girl running away with a small ice shard in her hands. And now. Its like telling me something about the future. What does that mean auntie?" I glance at my auntie. She seemed so tensed. "Auntie?"
"Uhm. You guys will be late. It'd already 6:55. And I need to go to work now. Bye my niece." She quickly nudge her legs out of the dinning room.
What's with her?
"Come on nerdy." My cousin called me and we ride our way to school. But like as always, before we even arrive, I excuse myself just not to join him there. He have a very good reputation. Not like mine. A small nerd who is unpopular.
"You sure nerd? Gah. Why do I care right?" Then he closed the car's window and drove off.
I sigh.
Maximus Drake Anderson. Same as our age. 18. But I'm just turning this year.
He is a basketball player and one of the campus heartthrobs. He is in the class-B.
No one would seem to like a nerd like me to join a ride with someone like him. I'm just considerate. And he definitely didn't know that.
My auntie, Keileen Johnson, is also same age as mine. She is very intelligent that she finished her studies at young age. She is the only one that helps me recover my lost memories.
She told me that, me and my parents died 7 years ago during my birthday celebration. We were about to a place they once told me. A magical one. I insist to go to that place and then we fought an accident.
I was so mad at myself back then. But auntie Keen always told me it wasn't my fault.
