After all the yelling and banging made Akatsuki exhausted. She gave up and fall asleep on the floor, just in front of her door.
After looking at the photo albums, Mrs. Akatsuki cleaned it up. It was already late. Akashi excused himself and opened the door, only to see a sleeping Akatsuki.
He blushed without noticing. He felt weird. A feeling that he haven't felt until now. There he is, staring at her. He stays completely still. Somehow, he couldn't move.
...She looks so...defenseless...
“What's wrong, Akashi-kun?” Mrs. Akatsuki's voice snapped him back to reality. “O-oh..Nothing...It's just..” He pointed at the sleeping Akatsuki on the floor. Her mother giggled.
“Oh, my... Akashi-kun, can you please carry her to her bed?” Akashi smiled and nodded, carrying Akatsuki on his arms. The unknown feeling got stronger.
“Thank you, Akashi-kun. I apologize for the trouble.” He placed her gently on the bed. “It's nothing, mother. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask me.”
“I'll be going now. Thank you for the dinner.” He bowed his head, politely. Mrs. Akatsuki smiled. “You're always welcome here, dear.”
Akashi was about to leave when Mrs. Akatsuki called him. He turned to look at her.
“I'm sorry for interrupting your goodbye kiss earlier.” She grinned. Akashi's cheeks reddened. “So, I'll let you kiss her goodbye before you leave.” She walked towards the door.
“A-are you sure it's okay, mother?” She turned her head and gave him a thumbs up. “Knock yourself out.” She said before leaving the room. As much as she want to see the sweet kiss, she figured they'll need some privacy.
Akashi walked towards her and sat on her bed, beside her. He removed some strands of hair covering her face. He lifted her chin up and leaned closer.
“I hope your dreaming about me...”
Akatsuki smiled softly in her sleep. Which made Akashi smirked. His lips touched hers for a few minutes. Then he pulled away with a victorious smirk.
He kissed her forehead and got up. “Sweet dreams, empress.” He took a glance at her before leaving. He said goodbye to her future mother-in-law and returned to his home
“..My little princess finally found her prince.”
