"Just ignore people like that," he let out a deep breath almost as if he were calming himself down.

"Yeah, I know," I managed.

I was kind of in shock. He appeared to be this really sweet guy with no edge. Not that he wasn't a nice guy, I just wouldn't have expected that to come out of him.

Suddenly I noticed Ella walking towards me. She was an absolute drunk mess.

"Ella, are you okay?" I jumped up and helped her walk and had her sit down next to Liam.

"I'm..fine," She stuttered.

"How much did she have to drink?" Liam asked me.

"Not much, from what I saw anyway," I began to feel worried.

"You have to watch your shit around here, these guys look for any chance to drug girls," Liam started to get heated up again.

I was almost scared to witness another blow up.

"Ella, let's get home,"  I rubbed her back.

I wanted to get her away from all these people and make sure she was safe at home.

"Let me drive you," Liam offered and assisted me in lifting Ella off the curb.

I hesitated. I was totally against drunk driving and would rather carry Ella on my back than to do so.

"I'm sober, I don't drink," he smiled.

We grabbed Ella by each of her sides and almost carried her to Liam's car. There was no way she would be able to walk on her own. I'm surprised she even made it down the stairs and outside to find me.

I spotted a small red Mazda and Liam ran ahead to open the door. I almost pushed Ella in the backseat and she flopped over and laid her body across the entire backseat.

"I hope she doesn't puke," I got nervous.

"It wouldn't be the first time, don't worry," he tried to make the situation better.

I instructed Liam how to get back to our dorm and he helped me carry Ella inside. Once she was on her bed I knew she was down for the count.

"Thanks a lot really," I started to walk Liam towards the door.

I was exhausted. Mentally and physically.

"I'm happy I was able to help," he let out as we reached the door. We stepped outside to chat so that Ella wouldn't wake up. Although I don't even think fireworks would wake her up at this point.

"Let me give you my number so if anything happens I can help," he pulled out a crumbled up recepiet from his back pocket and scribbled barely legible numbers onto it.

"Thank you a million times," I said again.

"Good luck with her, have a good night Lana," he turned and walked down the hallway back to the car.

I quitely walked back into the dorm and changed into sweats and a t shirt.

I pulled a blanket over Ella and placed the pillow underneath her head. As soon as I was done getting her set up for bed I crawled into mine.

The next morning when I woke up I felt a massive headache. I was sort of hoping I wouldn't feel the effects of a hangover becasue Ella's episode sobered me up. I glanced over to her bed and she was still fast asleep. I had no intention of waking her because I didn't want her to feel sick.

I grabbed my laptop and started to type a paper while I waited for her to wake up. About an hour or two into my typing I noticed Ella slowly open her eyes.

"Oh my God, fuck this," she groaned.

"You okay?" I asked.

"What happened last night?" I almost knew the words were about to come right out of her mouth.

"You got pretty drunk and went upstairs with a guy. Whatever happened after that with you I'm unaware of but you were safe when you found me," I explained to her.

"How did we get home?' she questioned.

"This guy Liam drove us home," I answered.

"Liam who? Liam Payne?" She asked.

"I don't know, I didn't get his last name. When we first got to the party you said he looked familiar."

Her eyes widened as she tried to picture his face.

"You have to stay away from Liam Payne," she blurted out.

"We don't even know if we're talking about the same person. The person I'm speaking of was incredibly sweet, plus what's so bad abot this Liam Payne guy?" I asked out of pure curiosity.

"He's just crazy. Anger problems, I heard he hits girls," she said.

"Well luckily I was with a different Liam, now go back to sleep," I joked.

"You don't know that," she argued.

"Ella, just go to sleep. Because of Liam and I you're alive and well. Whether or not you think he's a wife beater," I made light of the situation.

She threw a pillow at me in which I swatted back into her direction. Neither of us had classes on Friday's which was really awesome so I usually used the time to get everything together.

"My phone is dead can I borrow yours?" Ella asked me.

"Yeah," I glanced over to my night stand and didn't see anything. I searched under all of my covers and started to feel frantic.

"I can't find it! Charge yours so you can call mine!" I almost yelled.

She did as I said but it was taking a few minutes to reboot.

"Shit! What if I lost it at the party?" I really felt scared.

'What's that piece of paper?" Ella pointed to the crumbled recipet with Liam's number.

"Good thinking! Is your phone charged?" I was basically out of breath.

She nodded and I almost snatched it from her hands and began to dial the numbers.

"Hello?" He answered on the second ring.

"Hi Liam. It's uh Lana. We met last night and uh," I couldn't even gather my thoughts.

"You left your phone in my car, I'm actually on my way to bring it back to you," I heard him giggle.

"Oh thank God," I let out a sigh of relief.

"What?" Ella asked me as I hung up the phone.

"I left my phone is his car, he's bringing it back here," I told her.

"He's coming here?" She actually looked afraid.

"Ella, will you stop acting like he's a serial killer? He's a really sweet guy who's just bringing me my phone," I scolded her.

She looked down and nodded. There was no way this sweet guy was capable of hurting someone. Although my mind tripped back to last night where he nearly killed a man for talking to me. Before I could think anymore about it there was a knock at the door.
