Liam Song-Shot: Love will Remember 

“Hey babe it’s me I just wanted to call and tell you that I love you so so so so much. Just wanted to let you know that you are my princess, you are worthy of all the love in the world, you are the love of my life.” 

You listened to Liam’s voice mail message, tears streaming down your face. He was on tour at the moment and he’d been caught on video and on camera, kissing another girl at a club in Dublin, while you were back in London, sitting alone in your flat. You weren’t living together but you practically were. You were always at his place, some of your stuff was even there, but now he was on tour and you were stuck at your own flat, alone. 

Since he’d been away you’d drifted apart. He was barely able to call you or message you and once the video and photos had been leaked and you’d seen them, he hurriedly called you, apologising and saying sorry every second word. 

“What kills me Liam is that you did this. You let us drift apart. And that’s the way we’re going to stay. Apart,” you told him before you hung up. Now you were packing to go away for a while. Away from the city where you and Liam met. He’d tried calling you multiple times since you hung up on him, your phone flooded with messages and missed calls. 

You sat on your bed, your phone clutched in your hands as it rang for what seemed like the 100th time. It had been over three hours since you’d called him and you were starting to get distraught. You’d been dating for almost a year, your anniversary coming up tomorrow and you couldn’t believe that he had done this to you. 

Meanwhile, Liam was just about to land in London. He’d taken the first plane out of Dublin to London after you’d called him, not ready to give up on the relationship. He was supposed to come home tomorrow anyway but he wasted no time in hurrying home to try and make things right with you. He stared out the small window, down at London, hoping you were still here, regret filling him as he realised how much he’d hurt you. 

You opened up your voice mail again and clicked on Liam’s voice message again. 

“Hey babe it’s me I just wanted to call and tell you that I love you so so so so much. Just wanted to let you know that you are my princess, you are worthy of all the love in the world, you are the love of my life.” 

A piano starts playing and you set your phone down next to you as you get off the bed and look at your open suitcase on the ground and start to sing. 

“Now’s all we got. And time can’t be bought. I know it inside my heart, forever will forever be ours even if we try to forget, love will remember. You said you love me, I said I loved you back, what happened to that? What happened to that? All your promises and all them plans we had, what happened to that? What happened to that? Boom gone, yeah, we move on, even if we try to forget.” 

It switches to Liam who’s just landed in London and has taken off through the airport to make sure he can get to you quickly. 

“Love will remember you, and love will remember me, I know it inside my heart, forever will forever be ours even if we try to forget, love will remember. Love will remember. Love will remember. Love will remember. Love will remember,” he sings as he clears immigration. He didn’t bring any bags, only his phone and wallet in his pocket and a mission to apologise to you. 

It flicks back to you as you put your suitcase in your car and start driving to Liam’s house to pick up the rest of your stuff. 

“The trips we dreamed of takin’, the tags left on the map, what happened to that? What happened to that?” you sang as you drove. 

“When you all you had was nothing, and all we did was laugh, what happened, what happened, what happened to that? Boom gone, we move on, even if we try to forget,” Liam sang as he caught a taxi to his flat hoping you’d be there.
