Percy nodded his understanding and began to stand up. Annabeth grabbed his hand to pull herself up and jumped to her feet to look around. There were campers surrounding them, looking at them in awe.
"Uh, that's a new one. Demigods falling from the sky. Okay then," one of the campers said, pushing through the throng of teenagers. "My name's Luke Castellan, son of Hermes. Let's take you two to Chiron."
Percy's very eloquent response to this was: "Huh? Luke Castellan?" Annabeth's words weren't exactly registering. There's no way that they could be in the past... Right? People may have thought that Percy was a bit of an idiot, but even he knew that it would take an unbelievable amount of energy for Aphrodite to send them to the past.
And why she would send them to a time where Luke Castellan was alive of all people, Percy didn't know. All he knew was that he didn't want to be here, and the sudden falling and travelling through time and whatnot was disrupting the very delicate seal he had on his powers.
Percy stared at Luke while the son of Hermes gave him a questioning look. "Yeah, look," Percy started, grabbing Annabeth's hand and slowly inching around the lake. "I think we have a bit of a mix-up. We just had a really weird run-in with Aphrodite that ended up with us here, so if you could just let us go and find her, that would be great."
Clearly, the Fates liked him about as much as Aphrodite seemed to, because Chiron came galloping over as soon as he turned around. "Percy Jackson?" Chiron asked, clearly very confused.
"Yeah, look, long story. Don't exactly have time to tell. We," Percy said, motioning between himself and Annabeth, "have to go to Olympus and talk to a love goddess that apparently doesn't know who she's dealing with. So if you could just let us pass."
Percy's mood was taking a fast turn for the worst. It had been happening a lot since Tartarus. Trying to keep his powers contained made him very irritable. It was probably why Annabeth was asking her mom for help. And now he felt like a jackass. Well, that's great. Annabeth placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Hi Chiron. I can't exactly explain what's going on, because I don't know myself. Percy and I need to go to Olympus to talk with Lady Aphrodite so that we can get this settled."
"I'm afraid I can't let the two of you go to Olympus alone. Luke, Percy, Annabeth, follow me," the centaur said, turning and going towards the Big House. Percy threw a look over his shoulder at the bewildered demigods behind him. It must have been a shock to have two demigods fall from the sky only to turn out that at least one of them is an older copy of one of the current campers.
This is super short. Sorry. It kind of needed to end here though.
