Sans X Reader

Reunite

You motioned for Gaster to stay there and walked inside. Sans was sleeping on the couch while Undyne, Papyrus and Melody were in the kitchen making a mess. Melody noticed you and waved. You waved back.

"HUMAN! WHAT BRINGS YOU BACK HERE? ARE YOU HERE TO TAKE MELODY WITH YOU TO CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY?" Papyrus asked.

"Actually, no. Sans! Wake up! I have a surprise for you and Papyrus." You yelled to Sans. He sat up sleepily.

"what is so important that you had to wake me up?" Sans asked.

"Papyrus, come out here. I have a surprise for you guys." You said. Papyrus walked into the living room still covered in sauce.

"WOWIE HUMAN! A SURPRISE FOR US? WHAT IS IT?" Papyrus asked.

"Come on in!" You yelled towards the door. The handle slowly turned. Gaster opened the door all the way and took a step inside. You looked at the brothers to see their reactions. Papyrus just looked confused. Sans however, had his mouth almost touching the ground. You could see 'tears' building up in Sans's eye sockets.

"h-how? but he..." Sans asked.

"Shush now son. Aren't you going to come hug your old man?" Gaster asked. Tears fell down Sans's eyes as he ran up and hugged his father.

"UM, WOULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHO THIS MAN IS?" Papyrus asked.

"Ah, yes, you were only a baby when I fell into the core. Papyrus, you have grown so tall. I am sorry that I was a horrible father and left you two to care for yourselves." Gaster said, still holding Sans.

"YOU'RE OUR FATHER? SANS HAS ONLY TOLD ME STORIES ABOUT YOU. I AM GLAD I COULD FINALLY MEET YOU! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, SHALL BE THE BEST SON YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE! NYEH HEH HEH! NOW IF YOU EXCUSE ME, I MUST CONTINUE CREATING SOME OF MY FAMOUS SPAGHETTI!" Papyrus said. Gaster just laughed. You saw Sans let go of his father and walk towards you.

"thank you so much (y/n)! you really have no idea how much this means to me." Sans said, suddenly hugging you. You hugged him back.

"Your welcome Sans. I know how it feels to be an orphan, so I only did what I would have wanted." You explained. You and Sans let go of each other.

"Papyrus! You're gonna burn the house down if you have the heat that high!" You heard Melody yell. You looked over to see Melody turning down the heat on the stove. You watched all the chaos in the kitchen unfold. Gaster walked to your side. Sans stood on your other side. You stood there laughing at everything that was happening.

After a bit, you looked over at Sans and saw he was staring past you with an angry face. You looked in the direction he was staring and saw Gaster staring back at Sans with a evil-like grin.

"Um, what is going on?" You asked.

"Please excuse us for a minute." Gaster said. Him and Sans walked outside and closed the door. You sat next to the door and did what you do best: eavesdrop.

"You like her, don't you?" Gaster asked.

"what? no i don't." Sans replied. Gaster chuckled.

"Then what was with that look you gave her? Come on son, I know that look all too well. That is the same look I always gave your mother." Gaster said.

"i don't like her dad! we only met earlier today. yeah she is pretty but i don't like her." Sans said. You could tell he was having a hard time keeping his voice low.

"If you say so my boy. Come, let's not keep your guest waiting." Gaster said. You quickly walked to the couch and sat on it. The door opened and you saw Sans's face was flushed blue. You guessed it was blush but you weren't sure. Sans looked over to you and raised an 'eyebrow?'.

"What?" You asked.

"you eavesdropped, didn't you?" Sans asked when he sat down on the couch. You tried to hide a smile but failed.

"Maybe..." You confessed.

"i don't like you ok? i really don't understand why he thought i do." Sans said sighing.

"There is such thing as love at first sight you know. Just look at Melody and Papyrus. They only met today and I know Melody has already fallen for him. I'm not saying that you like me, I'm just showing you that you don't have to know someone for years just to like them." You explained.

"true." Sans said.

"So are you admitting that you like her?" Gaster asked.

"nope. welp, it's getting late. (y/n), you and melody can sleep on the couch. i'd offer you my room but it's pretty messy and gross so no. dad, i guess you can sleep with pap." Sans offered. You agreed and went to help Undyne, Papyrus, and Melody clean up their mess.

Once you finished cleaning and ate some of the spaghetti, Undyne went home and everyone went to their assigned locations. You laid on the couch for a few hours wondering if Sans actually does like you. Soon, you fall asleep.
