"This is just... wow." Sophia muttered as she looked into the building and I couldn't agree more. The Dorm of Nuos Academy was big, bigger than what I had in mind. It is a seven-storey high twin buildings that are connected in the middle. It formed a 'H' shape. I am not best at decribing things but all I can say is that it's amazing.

The Gate of Nuos Academy might not be much but I can't say the same for the school especially now that we had seen the dorm. I mean, this is only the dorm. What's more to the school and facilities? I bet it will be just as amazing if not, maybe more than just amazing.

"Hmp. They are lucky that it's really cool inside because I'm not gonna let this go if they aren't. I mean, a really antique gate that looks a few centuries old is the one they are using. One of the most popular schools! That's unheard of! What would have the people think of whenever they pass this way? They would have thought that this is just one of the haunted and abandoned lands and buildings."

I bet you're confused. Remember? Last time we ran and left Khaile alone, but you see when we ran we were so close to the school. The thing is, we did not know where it was. The only thing we knew was that Nuos Academy, the Academy we will be transferred to, was at least just an hour away with just a few turns there and there. Khaile was the one who knew where it was but we let our pride got in the way and just depended on a map on our phones. We are not going to apologize to that jerk! Nope, definitely not.

Maybe later but not at this time. So we walked for a long time until our GPS said that we were close. Real close and when the dot was just across the 'Nuos Academy' we stopped and turned to look at our left. We found a really dusty gate. Not rusty, but dusty gate that looked like that they had not been cleaned in a really long time.

"Is this it?" I asked Sophie as she tried to squint at the phone like she was making sure that the place is really the same. After a while, her eyes widen as she was surprised.

"No way! This GPS must be broken or something!" She muttered as she grabbed my phone rudely. I was about to say that it's not because it's mine and any of my possession isn't broken but I just let her be and just examined the place.

The place is not what you can call abandoned, in fact it is rather lively. There are many shops and buildings just across the gate and there are colorful lanters hanging around.

"Should we ask?" I asked her, watching as her face turned from annoyed to confused and vice-versa. It is quite amusing if I may say, Just don't say I said it.

She sighed and put down my phone. "I guess."

But before we could walk a step, we heard a raspy creepy voice. "Young lass and her companion, May I ask what you are looking for?"

Sophie shrieked in fright, "It appeared!"

She, then went behind my back as if to hide, I will be lying if I said I am not scared but IT IS daylight and just a few meters are lively streets with so many people so I am quite brave.

"May we ask who are you?" I politely asked her or him? I really don't know. The person is wearing black robe that covers his whole body and we can't see anything much less his face, he is holding a stick and sitting near the gate.

"Alice!" Sophie hissed, tugging cuff part of my sleeve. "What are you doing?!" She demanded. "That is haunted! That person is probably one of the occult-maniacs! Forget about it! We should ask someone else, let's go!"

As much as I want to go, a corner of my mind is telling me to stay. So, despite Sophie's invite, I went near the person instead of going away. I can sense her feel that I am such an idiot for staying. I thought so too but I wanted to trust my mind(to prove I am not crazy but I probably am because I might die just because of PRIDE. Again. A stupid reason.) Despite her fright, she stayed with me nonetheless, I am quite thankful for that.
