Chapter 37

-CHAPTER 37-

A few weeks gone by.. Biglaang umalis ang kapatid ko papuntang ibang bansa. I don't know what's going on Ares's mind. Mukang ok naman siya pero ayun bigla na lang nagpaalam na aalis daw at susundan si Kuya Yckos. A lot of things happened when mom died. I learned how to live and accept it. While my two brothers got lost in life. Kuya Yckos broke up with Prim at pumuntang ibang bansa para magpa rehab. He was so hurt kailangan niya ng psychological help. Hindi lang puso ang nasira sa kaniya. He almost lose his sanity.

While Ares on the other hand got his heart broken. Narinig ko noong isang gabi na magkausap sa telepono si Lucas at Janella. Nakwento rin ni Lucas sa'kin na totoo nga na may nararamdaman si Ares sa kapatid niya pero noong sabihin ni Ares yon ay tinanggihan siya. I feel sorry for my brother. I know how hard it is. Masakit yon. Nagulat ako nang biglang may yumakap sa likuran ko.

"Whats running on your mind? You look stressed." Bulong ni Lucas sa'kin. Hinalikan niya ang balikat ko at bumuntong hininga naman ako. Nandito kami ngayon sa condo niya at kakagising lang ni Lucas. Kanina pa ko nakatingin sa labas habang pinapakiramdaman ang simoy ng hangin.

"I just don't know what's going on with them.. Kuya Yckos.. And Ares. It's funny how love changed. Hindi lang nga magandang change pero... You know that they felt love. It's because of love." Sagot ko kay Lucas. Hinigpitan niya ang yakap niya sakin at bumuntong hininga.

"I'm sorry if my sister did that to Ares. But as a brother i can't do anything about her decisions. Malaki na siya kaya na niya yan. Let's just hope they'll be ok soon. Just let time heal them ok? Don't worry too much Babe. Ares and Yckos? They can save themselves from drowning into the pain." He kissed my shoulder again and made me turn to him. Hinalikan niya ang labi ko at pinagdikit ang mga noo namin.

"Siguro nasa dugo namin yon. Masyado kaming mapagmahal. Sobra magmahal, kaya pag nasaktan sobra din." I smiled a little. Ganon din si Lucas.

"Xyra you made me realize how much i love you, twice. Dalawang beses ko nasabi sa sarili ko na mahal nga kita. I would give you the moon if you want it. Ganon kita kamahal. Seeing your brothers like this after a heartbreak? Makes me wanna hate myself. I once hurt you. Iniisip ko pa lang yung sakit na naramdaman mo noon sobra na yung sakit sakin. Well i just wanted to tell you that inlove you. I love you so much." Halos maiyak naman ako sa sinabi ni Lucas. I felt how true he is with his words. Hinalikan ko na lang siya at niyakap ng mahigpit.

He was with me through thick and thin. Happiness and sadness, i'm happy that he held my hand through it all. He really showed me how true his love is. Im greatful for that.

Lucas's point of view.

"Balita ko ok na daw ang takbo ng kumpanya niyo." Napatingin ako sa babaeng ngayon ay kakapasok lang sa opisina ko. Naikuyom ko ang kamao ko.

"Bakit ka nandito Samantha." Mariin na tanong ko. I tried to calm myself while she walks towards me.

"Wala naman. Of course hindi na ko nagpupunta dito dahil sa Daddy ko. Inalis mo na siya sa board of members mo dito diba? Worst part is. Hindi mo lang siya inalis dito, you banned him everywhere. Even the Sy group? Bakit? Dahil ayaw mo siya makita pag nag merge na ang dalawang kumpanya?" May galit sa bawat salitang binibitawan niya. I secretly pressed the red button under my table. Its a button for security to get here.

"That is my decision Sam. Your father corrupted my company. Noong mga araw na wala ako dito who signed the papers to stop the on going projects? HIM! I don't know how my people agreed to that eh hindi naman siya ang may ari nitong emperyong to. Your father stole 3.5 billion pesos from my company. Sa tingin mo hindi tama ang ginawa kong pagtanggal sa kaniya?" Galit na tanong ko sa kaniya. Naikuyom niya ang kamao niya at bago pa magsalita ay bumating na ang mga security.

"Hindi pa tayo tapos Lucas. You ruined my family! How dare you! I loved you with all my heart and this is what i get?!" Gigil na sigaw niya habang pumipiglas sa mga security guard. I stood up and walk towards her. I raised my hand as a sign to the guards to release her.

"You don't know what love is Samantha. I loved you and you just want my money. You went out with me para sa pera ko. Alam ko na ang lahat Sam. Dati pa alam ko na pero nagbulag bulagan ako. Now, i love someone else and she made me open my eyes. Sinasabi mong hindi pa tayo tapos? Tapos na tayo Sam. Tapos na dati pa." I said those last word and let the security take her out.

Nang makalabas na siya at nakahinga ako ng maluwag. I know she will never stop until she gets what she wants. But i will never let her ruin my life. I took my phone from my pocket and dialed Xyra's number. Ilang ring pa lang nasagot na niya.

"Hello? Napatawag ka?" She asked in a sweet voice. I know she's smiling right now.

"I missed you Babe. Can i pick you up now?"  I asked. She giggled. I imagined her blusing right now.

"Ehh. Hindi pa ko tapos dito eh. One hour pa?"    She said and i took my car keys and exited my office.

"Then i'll just wait for you. Im on my way there. I love you." Telling her that i love her makes me feel like im laying on the clouds. Sounds corny but yeah.. Thats how it feels.

"Ok. See you. Drive safe. I love you too." We bid our goodbyes and i ended the call. Samantha would never ruin my life. I will never let anyone ruin my life.
