Chapter 4

 As we went to the dining table, I heard Yato mumble: "..I never thought that..she knows...How did......"

"You okay Yato?" I asked, glancing him behind the shoulder.

"Huh? Uhh yeah, sorry..." He mumbled as we sat down.

"You don't have to cook this much mom." I was surprised there were so many food on the table even though it's just the five of us. But you know Mom, she never fails to surprise me.

"Don't be silly dear. I want to do this because I wanted to." Seeing my mom smile makes me forget all the problems that I have. Little did I know that Yato was watching me yet he couldn't help but smile too.

"Hey, you're smiling again." Yukine noticed. I giggled softly, "I guess I am. Ja~ itadekimasu~!" I clapped my hands before I dig in.



After dinner's done, I tucked my mom to bed for her to rest. I told her that we'll start leaving tomorrow. I can't be sure on what my Dad's objectives are. But I know he's up to no good. I closed the door as I head to my room. I saw Yukine and Hiyori asleep on their beds. I couldn't sleep so I made hot choco in the kitchen. Who would've thought it would turn out to be like this... 

Just how much more will one be satisfy..?

I glanced at the clock as it read 10:35 PM. As much as I like to sleep, but I can't shake off the incident of what happened earlier out of my head. Seeing my drunkard dad made my heart clench even more, slowly losing my trust towards him. I felt my eyes dropping, so I allowed myself to get consumed in slumber.

....

"Good morning, Tori-san."

"OHMYGOSH! WHO'S THERE?!" I shouted when I jolted my eyes.

I was surrounded by flowers of all sorts and fresh green grass...I was lying on my bed. A masked man was facing towards me, holding something at his back. I knew it was a man based on his voice when he greeted me. 

This is just a dream, Tori..Just a dream--

"You really think this is a dream, Tori-san? Well, I can assure you...it's not." the masked man took of his mask, to reveal the face of someone I never expected..
