I wake up in a rush. My head hurts, and I can't think. I just know that last night was special. It wasn't a demigod dream, it was like a past memory, but that couldn't be right.
~Flashback~
I saw the fates in front of me. Aw, crap. "Perseus Jackson, we have some information for you. You are a god, correct, and some of your domains are indeed Grief, Pain, Loyalty, and Heroes. But there are many more. We cannot tell you them, because your fate is undecided, even by us, and that would be boring. So you must guess by yourself and we will confirm or negate them. But that isn't all. We have made you our champion, and your string has become very peculiar. Goodbye our hero." They said as they slowly began to fade away. I knew better than to try and get answers from them, but it deeply upset me that they were leaving. Then, my vision started to go black and I panicked. Just as I was about to set my self on fire to see, my vision came back, but it was different. I saw a guy that looked exactly like me, but he had this really cool colored hair, and weird clothes. He was sitting at a desk that said 'Akane Academy,' I immediately knew that this was a special school. I also knew that the guy sitting behind the desk was the founder, and that he was somehow tied to me. Then it hit me. This was me from another life. I founded this school, and now I was suppose to go here, I felt a calling to go there. I had complete knowledge of the school grounds, the criteria, and everything else. I even knew its current teachers and students. Most of which were girls, also weird. I knew the dream wouldn't release me until it was done or someone forcefully woke me up, so I sat down and got comfy. All of a sudden a speaker starting talking in Chinese. "Mr. Leah, Miss Shimon would like to see you." The man at the desk, Mr. Leah, straightened his tie and said, "Send her in Jarvis." I don't know how I understood them, but I'm guessing that I might be a god of languages too. A note poofed into my hand that said, 'You are correct Perseus.' Well, jee thanks. I tucked the paper into my pant pocket and tuned back into the conversation. "Are you sure?" Miss Shimon said, worry carving her words. "Yes Ri. When I am reborn and ready I will come back, don't worry. I want you to be the principal of the school until I come back. Take care of your baby sister for me. She has great things coming that I won't be able to see. I am afraid my time is coming to an end," Old me said. The dream slowly faded to black.
~Dream Over~
But I guess I'm an old soul, huh. That's kinda cool. I took out a piece of paper and riptide and wrote down all the things I knew I was god of. I put it in my pocket dimension so I could access it at any time. I slowly rolled out of bed and went to get in the shower. I did all of the male necessities and power-dried myself. I snapped my fingers and my clothes appeared on my body. A black leather jacket with a blue muscle tee underneath with some black skintight jeans. I checked my reflection and did a double take. My hair was multicolored! It started as a streak of white from my time holding the sky on my shoulders, and faded to a nice purple which then slowly faded to black with blue highlights. The look was awesome, it even made my sea-green eyes pop. I sent a quick prayer to the gods for my mom to understand, and walked into the kitchen for breakfast. I knew the next couple of days would be hard, but this just topped the whole wedding cake. My mom was making blue pancakes, and before she could react I quickly scooped, like, seven before surrounding them with syrup. "Percy, you're going to drown your pancakes!" My mother yelled. I put on my most serious face and said, "If I can't drown, then neither can my pancakes." She sighs, "Touchè." But then she sees my hair. "Perseus Achilles Jackson, what did you do to your hair!?" I chuckle nervously, "I didn't do anything! I woke up like this, I swear! Mom you have to believe me!" She sighed. "Ok, I believe you, I can tell you aren't lying. Who do you think could have made this happen. The gods?" I shrugged, " My best guess would be the fates, because I had two dreams last night the first one being that they visited me and said that my fate had become undecided, I was their champion, I was the god of grief, pain, languages, loyalty, heroes, and other ones I still need to discover, and that not even they could control my fate. My second one was of a guy that looked exactly like me, but had this kind of hair. That could possibly be why. From what he said to the lady he was having a meeting with, he was from my past life and as I was listening to them talk I gained the knowledge of the school. Like right now, because school hasn't started in Japan, the council, which is called the Six Heads, and the current principal of Akane Academy, are taking a vote to decide if they should allow another American student into the school. The majority voted yes, and now they will look through all of the students that sign up to go. Mom, can I sign up? Being the last demigod has made me feel lonely and this school is for kids that have complicated lives like mine. I think it would be great to be able to leave here so I can heal away from the memories." My mom sighed. I knew I had won, but I bet there was a catch. "Fine, but-" I told you there was a catch, "I'm not going to let you go alone. If you get accepted we'll book a flight, I'll sell the apartment, and we can buy a house near the school. I just don't know what we'll do about money." I smirked, "I've got it covered mom, blessed by the god of wealth, remember?" I handed her an unlimited money credit card that would only work for her. I have my own. "Percy, I can't accept this, you're my son, you should have it, and besides wouldn't people get a little suspicious?" I rolled my eyes and held up my blue one, "No mom, I have my own, and I can charm speak too, keep up." She laughed, relief filling the sound. "Alright Percy, but just this once." I smiled deviously, "I wouldn't say that." She sighed, "Alright mister, go and sign up. I have some shopping to do!" We both laughed. I quickly made it to my room and grabbed my laptop. I know, I know, why do you have a device if they let monsters find you? Well, I'm a god now, an Olympian at that, so they'll be to scared to follow me. Plus, it's from before I went to camp originally. After I figured out how it worked again, I went to the website that the Six Heads had just finished setting up and signed up. I had to show a picture of me, but being the good boy I am, I just looked at the camera and did my most charming crooked grin, it always works. I'm actually surprised that they didn't put up the website until now, there's only a week left of summer vacation. Ok, before I get into the Six Heads and Ri's reactions, I will explain how this little knowledge thing works (being blessed by Athena is the best!). It's like I have a spy camera set up everywhere, but I can also tell what they are thinking, and what they are feeling, of course, without actually seeing all of that, I sense it. When my application popped up, showing my picture, which I was secretly proud of, and my name, Miss Shimon, or Ri, as I liked to call her, squealed and shouted, "It's him! He was right! He was reborn! Mr. Leah is now Percy Jackson!" All of the council member were shocked, and they continually looked back and forth between the picture of old me hanging on the wall and the picture of current me on the wall, courtesy of a projector, like a tennis match. Finally, after around five minutes of checking over my profile, Edward Lampard said, "Well, that concludes our search then doesn't it? Why doesn't Mari call him to ask for him to come?" All the rest of the Six Heads nodded in agreement and Ri got out her phone. She dialed the number on her phone, put it on speaker phone, and my apartment phone started ringing. I quickly ran to get the phone and picked up. "Y'ello?"~"Hi, this is Mari Shimon, the principal of Akane Academy, do you speak Chinese?"~ I switched to Chinese and continued, "Yes, is this about the application I just sent to the school, Ri?"~ She gasped, "Are you the reincarnation of Mr. Leah?"~"Seeing as I just had a dream last night about the talk you and old me had the day before I was murdered, I believe so. I also just so happen to have all of the knowledge of the school in my head now. Like how I am on speaker phone, with the Six Heads listening in on the other end, and Miss Arlene Highbury listening through her laptop while she is actually here in the good ol' U. S. of A. Hello, Sir Edward Lampard, Miss Vasilisa Yuryevna Mostvaya, Mister Charles Saint-Germain, Mister Ando Suruga, Mister Lu Zhixin, and Miss Arlene Highbury."~ Vasilisa butted in and said, "I demand to know how you know my name peasant?"~"Simple, Miss Mostavaya. You are a part of the school I founded."~ Ri shoots Vasilisa off with a warning glare, "Will you be able to come to our school this year Mr. Jackson?"~"Please Ri, just call me Percy. Is Maya well?"~"Yes, she is doing great, and has grown into her powers already."~"I knew it! Didn't I tell you Ri? I knew she would be a little prodigy! But, I believe most of the Six Heads, ahem, Vasilisa, ahem, are becoming agitated, so I say this. I will come to your school Ri. I am going to be moving there with my mother tomorrow. I will try to visit as soon as I can. Bye Ri, Six Heads." And I ended the phone call. My mother was standing by the wall that led to the kitchen, staring at me funnily. I sighed, but got an idea. "Mom, I was speaking Chinese. How would you like to be blessed by me, so that you can speak different languages too? Your scent will most likely be too small for monsters to smell anyway." Mom smiled, "I would love to Percy." I walked up to her and pulled her into a hug while focussing on giving her the ability to speak any language. I started speaking in Mung. "Can you understand me? Did it work?" She responded with, "Yes, I can understand you, thank you Percy." Switching back to English I asked, "How did shopping go?" Mom blushed. "I only bought a few things, like makeup, new clothes, essentials." I nod, "Well, the school just accepted me, and I thought we could keep this place and buy a nice big house there, we don't need to buy a mode of transportation, because I can just flash us here and there. Oh! And before I forget, because I'm a god, you can just mentally think my name or send me a prayer to contact me." Thanks Percy. "Wow, that was fast," I say, surprised. My mom just gives a sweet smile. Do you want to look for one now? She looks startled, but then says, "Sure. It won't hurt, will it?" I shake my head, "You might feel a little queasy, but other than that you should be fine." Mom nods. I take her hand and think of where Akane Academy is located.
