It was a Tuesday morning around 7:30 when L arrived at school. Light didn't get to school until about 7:45 and class didn't start until 8:00. L was just alone for the morning as his care taker had things to do and could only drop him off at 7:30. L wasn't to pleased by it but he wasn't one to complain. He sat by the cherry blossom tree which bloomed in the middle of the court yard at school. The weather was nice and the air was clear. His school, unlike a lot of other Japanese high schools in the region, did not in force uniform, and L was wearing a very old white sweater and some blue jeans.

Fellow students looked at him and passed him, not even acknowledging his existence. He liked this better then when people acknowledged his existence and said a bunch of crap about him. Though he was getting dreadfully bored. He promised to look at the flyer sheet for there club with Light, to see if it had any sign of interaction, but it was now 7:46 which to L, meant Light was late. L stood up from his spot, passed a group of girls without as much as a blink, and went over to see the club board.

To his surprise Light was standing in front of the board, looking at the flyer without L. L walked up to him and got his attention. Light jumped a little and stared at L as if he were ready to fight, but once he realized it was only L, he calmed down and took a deep breath.

"Don't creep up on me like that" Light said, L rolled his eyes at him.

"You were peeking at the flyer before me, what ever I do is not in the wrong for the rest of the day" L said, and Light rolled his eyes at L. They both examined the sheet for signs of interaction. There was one really obvious sign, but neither of them wanted to bring it up.

"You see that too right?" L asked finally breaking the silence. What he was referring to was the 'What a bunch of losers!' Scribbled over the whole sheet with black, big tip sharpie. Light cursed under his breath.

"Don't worry Light-kun I'm sure someone will show up" L said. The bell rang to begin class and the two went on with their day, awaiting after school. The day went by slow, because that's usually what happened when you were excited for the day to end. Once the last bell rang, and students began leaving or going to after school clubs, L and Light grabbed the room key for the new Occult club and walked over to the room. To their surprise, there were to people standing by the door.

A tall boy, looked to be in grade 12 as well, with blonde hair brushed mostly to one side of his face, covering his left eye. He had tanned skin and was in a yellow sweater with a pyramid design on the bottom and black jeans. He had a necklace on with a black bow tie charm. The boy beside him was shorter, and looked to be in grade 10 or 9, wearing a red shirt underneath an unbuttoned blue flannel top. He had pale alone and blue jeans covering his legs. He also had a hat on with the logo of a blue pine tree.

"Are you guys here for the occult club?" Light asked the two.

"Or are you just lost?" L chimed in behind Light. The older one shrugged.

"I am, but this kid has just been following me all day" he said, the younger boy blushed and waved his hands in front of himself.

"No no! I'm here for the club as well!" He said, defending his case. Light shook the older ones hand.

"I'm Light Yagami" Light introduced himself, the older boy smiled slightly.

"I'm Bill Cipher" he said. L turned to the younger boy and extended his hand.

"I'm L Lawliet, nice to meet you" L spoke, but the younger boy didn't accept his hand shake, keeping his hands to his sides.

"I'm Dipper Pines" he whispered, his voice almost inaudible. L swung the key ring around his index finger.
