Her shoes made all kinds of tip-taping sounds as she dashed in to the station, down through the stairs. She came into the platform, where she saw her train which supposed to take her to class began to shut their door as the departure time was growing nearer and nearer.
"Noo, stop! Wait for me!" She screamed to the train, as stupid as it seemed because no trains can talk to human. But she was desperate and currently driven with adrenaline, running through the people crowding the place into the nearest door.
Which, to her bad luck, had closed by the time she got there.
"Dang!" She cursed.
She looked at the parting train, mocking her as it moved away from the station, with frustrated look on her face.
"Great, now I'm definitely gonna miss that class," she muttered in irritation. If only her mom hadn't kept her home too long to just mush over at her leaving, she wouldn't be late for the train.
It was only when the train had gone out of sight did she realized the woman—no, girl, she's actually quite young, maybe a just a few years older than her—standing a few steps in front of her, looking her nonstop with weird looking eyes. And it seemed like the Miss didn't even feel embarrassed by it.
She slit her eyes to make her look intimidating to the stoic woman. "Why are you looking at me?"
"Am I?" Surprisingly she asked, her eyes quickly glanced to the left at nothing in particular, completely ignoring her now.
They stood in silence for quite some time. Before she finally had enough.
"Seriously," she murmured, pissed but intrigued. "And you're just going to stand there? For what? Hours?"
She shrugged, smiling but somehow looking sad, "I'm not familiar with the surrounding and my brother was supposed to fetch me here, so I'll just wait."
Something is strange with this girl.
"Oh..... Good then." She responded lamely, still silently figuring out what in the world was wrong with this girl.
Again they stood in silence staring into each other. Her, still intrigued by the girl's weirdness and the girl, still didn't stop looking at her with her strange eyes. She tried to ask again, "Aren't you at least going to sit down somewhere or something?"
The girl's head leaned to her right side as if asking her what she meant, before she continued, "You're too close to the edge."
She took a step forward suddenly, almost bumping into her if she didn't move back in time.
"Whoa," she shrieked in surprise as her hand stretched out to grasp both the girl's arms to stop her from bumping her, "Watch it, Miss," she added, still clearly surprised.
"I'm sorry," she said with a sheepish grin, her eyes closed as her mouth grew into a smile.
"Don't go bump into me so suddenly, I know bumping into me is probably better than bumping into the train, but still," she said with a nervous laugh as she released the girl's arms.
Now she could finally put the pieces to the puzzle.
She cleared her throat, and asked, "Are you.....blind?"
"Ah, well," the girl sighed as if in defeat, probably because she had found out of her incapability, she wasn't really sure. But then she smiled to her, though her eyes now looked more unfocused than before, "I see you've noticed. Sorry though for bumping and staring. That must have made you uncomfortable."
"Nah, I'm the one who's supposed to be sorry here. Sorry for being insensitive."
The girl just smiled sheepishly again.
