I always expected to have a lot of friends up until the fact that I had to move and start a new school. I was forced to move because my dad got a new job and it was all the way in Wyoming. Like a mom and daughter, we had to support him, so we moved. He didn't like the idea of moving either but it was a really good job and he showed me and my mom the house and then all of the sudden my mom was on his side but I still wasn't. Then after that even mom stared to try and convince me that moving would be a good change for once but even she didn't convince me and as a mom she is usually good with that kind of stuff.
Later that night while I was getting ready for my last night in my own bed in my own house. I heard someone coming up the stairs and by the way the person was walking I knew it was mom. THUMP THUMP THUMP. I heard the footsteps stop by my door and before she cold even touch the door knob I said, "If your here to try and convince me to move the don't even bother to come in." Once I said that then I could hear her starting to walk away and go to my brothers' room and he said something similar to what I had said, "I'M NOT MOVING AND I REFUSE TO!!" This time my mom actually went into his room and started talking to him about the move and since my room is right next to my brothers' room, and with the thin walls I could hear everything.
"Sweety, there is always going to be rough times in our lives," my mom said to Jack, "and some of them will be heartbreaking and some of them will be for the best." After I heard that I heard my brother start to cry and honestly I almost did too. Then she continued, "This is one of those for the best kind of times and one of those that are heartbreaking but sometimes he ones that are, are for the best." At that point my brother was practically balling and weeping and crying all at the same time and so was I.
