My name is Em. This is the story of how I found my soulmate.
"Em! Stop daydreaming!" My best friend, Lilly shouted. She was taller than I was and she had brown wavy hair that came up to her shoulders. She was very fashionable as she wanted to be a fashion designer when she got older. "Were you thinking about the necklace again?" She asked, her face full of suspicion.
"No....Yes. Just think about it Lil. It is half a necklace... don't you wonder who has the second half?"
"No, I don't. Maybe the necklace was only meant to be half." This was stupid. I knew that someone else had the second half of this necklace. It was a heart and I had only half a heart so it was obvious that someone else had the other half. I don't know how I got this or who gave it to me. All I knew is that someone else had the other half and I needed to find that person.
"Hurry up or we'll be late for school!" Great. It was time for school. The place where I always got bullied for being clever or getting the top marks in the class. Lil was always there for me and I was grateful but sometimes the bullying got too much and I couldn't take it. We got to school and I was immediately pushed to the ground.
"You think that just because you got the highest marks in class that you are clever? Hahaha, you're not clever, you're just a worthless skank.' The bullies looked at me with rage in their eyes. They were so angry I swore I could see some coming out of their ears. They handed me a textbook. "Oh and do pages 4,5 and 6. It's the math homework" They walked away and I stood up when I couldn't hear the click clacking of their heels anymore. That was so weird, first of all, they tell me that I am not clever just because I got the highest marks in class and then they tell me to do their math homework? I gathered all my books and started walking when I bumped into someone. This was not a good day.
"Oh my gosh! I am so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you!"
"Its alright." I looked up and oh my gosh he was beautiful. He had dirty blonde hair that was styled into a quiff and he had a beanie on. He was very tall and his eyes were the type of eyes that you could get lost in. They were not an ordinary blue, no. They were blue like the ocean. As blue as the sky on a hot summers day when there are no clouds, beautiful. His lips. They were perfect, I wanted to kiss them but I had just met this guy. I didn't know his name or how old he was.
" Checking me out are you?" Shoot, I needed to think of an excuse to make .
"No! Uh I was just thinking that I haven't seen you around before"
"Yeah, I just moved here, I got kicked out of boarding school" He was a bad boy and I was crushing.
Shit. I didn't need this right now. I needed to focus on my studies and not get distracted by boys or anything else.
"I like your necklace" He said, looking at my neck. "How come it is only half?" I quickly covered the necklace up with my hands and looked at him.
" Oh, its nothing. I've been meaning to throw this away now and- "
"Why is it only half?" I can't believe how curious this boy was.
I sighed. Did I really have to explain this? He was going to think I was crazy. "I don't know how I got this necklace or who gave it to me. All I know is that it's half a necklace and I believe that someone else, somewhere has the other half" He stared at me. Great. He thinks I'm crazy.
"We need to find this person" What did he just say? Is he actually willing to help me find this person?
"Yes, I am willing to help you" Did I just say that out loud?
"Yes you did" He smirked.
Looks like we are going to try and find the person who has the other half."
