Chapter 1

A lot of teens experience those time when they're too lazy to get up from bed. Like their bed has its own voice calling out to them. And when they finally get up, ignoring the temptations of their warm bed, there's the freezing shower. Though there's heater, it's always freezing getting out from the shower. Oh god! Just thinking of all these things makes me want to stay in bed a lot longer. It’s like 6 in the morning. School doesn’t start till 8 or something.

"Sweetheart! If you're not here in 5, I'm making Jace and the boys throw freezing water at you!" I groaned and jumped off the bed immediately. You need to take her seriously, even though her yelling voice is like a musical to your ears, that's a luna out there. And lunas are known to take everything they say seriously, especially my goddess-like of a mother.

"Coming!" I did my thing. Thrice as fast as any normal wolves do, and they move 4 times faster than a human so this is something. I never go to school without showering. With 'never' I mean NEV-ER.

I finished with 2 minutes to spare and ran down the stairs with my super wolf speed. "Hey mom, dad." I smiled at them. They're so cuddly early in the morning. I don't mind if it makes mom happy. Cris, my step dad, is the best step dad I could have. At first I was reluctant because I love reading, meaning I've read those tragic stories where the girl gets an abusive man as a father. The moment I step foot at his house, the pack house, I knew I was totally wrong in every way.

Cris and our new pack welcomed us with so much love that I had to take in a deep breath just to recover myself. He's the total opposite of what I thought he was. He never treated me like I was plague to their relationship; he treated me like I'm the daughter he always wanted to have (his words).

"If you don't eat your bacon and eggs, I'll devour them." dad must've notice my dozing off and teased me like he always did since I got here. "You won't do that, you love me too much." I smirked at him. He feigned shock which made my mom laugh. "Oh, you know me to well!" We all laughed just as Jace, the new beta, came in.

"What a lively morning!" He ruffled my hair as he walked by me to get his own breakfast.

"Sure is." mom said, "Jace, I entrust my princess to you, okay?" Ugh! She. is.not.serious. Right? Jace was about to reply when I cut him off.

"Mom, I can handle myself fine. I don't need his," I looked jokingly disgusted at Jace, "help. I don't need this special treatment thingy from what I heard is the 'popular guy' of Red River High." I continued eating my breakfast and dad excused himself.

"So you did a research on me. I'm honored." He smirked and wiggled his brows. This guy's really a jerk. "Stop flattering yourself." I rolled my eyes. It didn't stop there. We started bickering at each other playfully. My mom just sat there like she was watching a sitcom. We got surprised when dad came back and he's... Sparkling?

"Alpha, are you alright?" Jace stood up, worried. Who wouldn't? A 5 minutes ago dad was his happy self and now he's... Overjoyed. "Of course I'm alright! Why wouldn't I be? Especially when my son's coming home!"

"See, you're over acting Jace." I was ready to laugh at his face when dad's words registered to me. "Wait- WHAT?!"

“Dad, you never told me you have a son.” We’re now in the mini living room with mom and dad sitting on the couch like teenagers and me walking back and forth in front of them like a parent who’s scolding her kids. “B-But you never asked…” He looked down.

It never fails to amaze me how this terrifying alpha is really a soft man. I so wanted to forgive him right now but it’s a big deal that he never told me. “It comes with the greetings, dad.” I stayed calm in the outside but fuming in the inside. “I’m sorry sweetheart, I was so happy about having you and your mother that I forgot to tell you that I have this big daredevil.”
