“I want something natural, and not eye catching.” I explain to Libby.

“That’s what I was going for, as you can see in my train case, I have no neon greens or pinks.” We both laugh at her joke and I watch as she continues to work her artistic magic on my face.

“I like how this brown eyeliner looks on you, here, keep this pencil.” She insists.

“No, I can’t take it from you.” I say, “It’s yours.”

“Delilah, just take it. It’s no big deal; after all, my mother does work for Urban Decay and MAC.” It’s true; it’s where she gets all of her artistic magic.

“Okay, fine.” I give in. Libby also did my hair, which didn’t take long to straighten.

“Okay, now I’m done!” Libby squeals. She spins my chair around to see my reflection in my vanity. I don’t even recognize myself. All I see is a clear skinned, beautiful woman, with brown eyeliner, a tinted lip stain on my lips, and a super light eye shadow that had a sort of ombre affect from my eye lids to the brow bone. And pin straight hair reaching all the way down to my end of my back.

“...wow” I say, speechless as ever. “just wow.”

“Do you like?”

“I love it!” I glance at my watch and see I haven’t picked out an outfit yet, and I was running out of time.

“Shit.” I cursed under my breath, “I don’t have an outfit that’s good for tonight!”

“And that’s why I came prepared.” Libby pulls out and absolutely amazing outfit, that consists of: Skinny Jeans, a Tribal, black and white, tank top that isn’t tight, a black bandeau, and some black and grey crochet toms.

“I don’t know what I would do without you! Thanks so much for helping me and I don’t know what you want in return.”

“All I want is you to call my best friend.”

“Aww, thanks Libby,” I pull her into a hug.

“Now I hate to ruin the moment, but I have to take this beautiful girl on a date.” A familiar voice breaks the silence and me and Libby look up to see Harry with casual attire consisting of jeans and a tight white tee shirt, and his mop of curls all over the place.

“Hello beautiful.” He says breaking my gaze from his vibrant green eyes.

“Hi” I smile shyly.

“Well, you too have fun, but not too much fun.” Libby says and leaves after saying goodbye.

“Shall we go?” Harry asks.

“We shall.” I giggle. We walk down the hall to see my dad and my mom eating dinner.

“I’m going to Harry’s house for movie night and dinner. Bye mom and dad.” I wave as they say their goodbyes. When we walk out of my house, Harry grabs my hand gently. It’s weird actually, that I felt a little spark when we touched, like some cliché chic flic.

When I giggle at his gentleman-like move to kiss my hand as he held it, our eyes met and this time, my eyes never left his after what felt like forever we smiled at each other and we made our way to his home.
