~PROLOUGE~

I was six when it happened, my mum's words still haunt me to this day, sleeping on the streets doesn't help. The she wispered to me, they floated away in the wind before anyone could hear, but they were engraved into my skull. A mere sentence, 10 little words. The reason I can't sleep at night. Let me start from the beginning.

My mum and I were walking down the crowded streets of London, she had stopped to talk to one of her friends we ran into, but I wasn't paying attention to what was being said. I mean I was six, what six-year-old does when there are better things to pay attenction to. I was watching a girl who looked just like me but older of course, she had the same dark curls, but hers was way longer. She had the same carmel brown eyes, but there were something about hers that intrigued me. She also had the clear porcelain skin, that i inherited from my mum. As she came closer the more I could see she looked like me. I let go of my mum's purse that I has a hold of so she wouldn't lose me in the crowd. I ran to see the mysterious girl, as I reached her she bent down to wisper in my ear, "Save her, she loves you, go get a person to help her. If you save her you'll save yourself. Go, now." I looked up once she finished and she was gone, nothing but people rushing everywhere. I looked up and saw a big man that looked like he could do anything, don't jude I was six.

"Sir, could you help me?" I asked him while tugging on his shirt to get his attention. He bent down so he could look me in the eyes.

"What do you need little one?" he questioned his eyes boaring into mine, I still thought it was a little creepy that he called me little one.

"Someting is going to happen and I think my mummy is in trouble!" my eyes watered, I was dizzy from confusion and worry swirling around in my head.

"Well where is she?" he looked like he really cared. I was suprised, still am.

"Over there!" I pointed to where she was talking to her friend, apparently I had crossed the street. He looked and took my tiny hand in his huge one.

"RYAN, WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?" I heard my mum's voice yell, her voice high-pitched from the amount of worry laced in her tone.

"MUMMY, I'M COMING!" I yelled, I broke through the crowd with the guy trailing behind me, still holding my hand. As we were a quarter of the way across the street my mum broke though the crowd on the other side and started to run, it all happened so fast. I heard the honk from the, I saw my mum freeze in fear, then she was on the ground and the car was driving off.  I remember letting go of the man's hand and running to her, I remember a crowd gathering around us and the stench of blood. My mum looked at me with her now pain filled eyes.

"Protect yourself baby, don't let people in, I love you." Then I saw her bright blue eyes lose there light.

" Mummy? Mummy?! MUMMY?!?" Tears slid down my cheeks and hit the pavement below, the guy that I asked to help was on the phone. I looked around and saw most people in the crowd had tears slipping down their cheeks too.  Once the guy got off the phone he turned to me and bent down and held his arms arms. I ran into his awaiting arms, he stood and tried to console me while hoding me, I kne what happened but I didn't want to believe it. A few minutes later I could hear sirens. So thats who he was in the phone with, he put me down when the cars came into sight, there was an ambulance and a few cop cars. Once they stopped and got out one of the police men walked up to me.

"Hello Ms, what's your name?" he squatted down so he was the same height as me. He had greying hair and wore a frendly expression on his face. Little did I know that I would see him more than I wanted to in the future.

"My name is Ryan Jamie Taylor!" I said excited because I had just learned my full name a week ago.

"Well isn't that an intresting name! Well Ryan, where's your father?" his face still wore the same open, friendly expression.
