Chapter 2/Astrid leaves

Astrid

I grabbed all the supplies I needed for the trip. I knew that I had to make this really convincing to the villagers that I am gone for good. I picked up a knife and cut my arm and I asked Stormfly, my Deadly Nadder friend if I can use one of her spikes as poof as if I was killed by a dragon. She was not sure about this. She asked, "Astrid, are you sure this is a good idea to fake your death?" I replied, "Stormfly, this is the only way. Besides, I have you guys to keep me company." Hookfang said, "We're ready to go, Astrid." I nodded, "Give me a moment to look at Berk." The dragons nod and waited for me at the Kill Ring. I picked up the blood scale and make a long trail within the woods and left the scale and my clothes there. I climbed into Stormfly and sighed. "Let's go." We left without looking back.

Luna

It's strange. Astrid should be in class today. I looked around and noticed Hiccup and the other teens. I ran towards them and I asked, "Hey, have any one seen Astrid?" Snoutlout said, "Who cares?" I was mad at him and punched him right in the face. "Ow! What I do?" Hiccup said, "I think you might have to listen to my sister. She would not done that unless it's serious." Fishlegs said, "I thought I saw her yesterday. This is getting weird." Hic was concerned about this. "I say we searched for her." I said, "That's a good idea, Hiccup. Let's go." We spend a lot of time searching for Astrid. Then I noticed something. A trail. "Guys, look, there's a trail up ahead." I said to the others. "What we waiting for?" Snoutlout said. We followed the trail and we saw blood on Astrid's clothes and it has a scale on top of them.  "No..." Snoutlout said, realizing the truth. She was killed by a dragon.

Hiccup

No, it can't be true. She can't be dead. There has to be a logical explanation for this. "She's gone." Luna said, sobbing. Snoutlout said, "This is all my fault. I was way too hard on her. She's family after all." Fishlegs said, "We have to tell Stoick about this. He has the right to know what has happened." I said, "No, Astrid is not dead!" Luna said, "Hiccup, look at the evidence! She is absolutely killed by a dragon! You have to let it be." I said, "No. I refuse to believe it." I ran away from the others. "Hiccup! Wait!" Luna cried as she tries to catch up to me. I run to the house and I closed the door behind me. I knew that Astrid is not dead. She has be alive and run off somewhere. Why would she do to make this choice? I know someday we will meet again and I will bring her home.
