Rebecca's POV
I stared out the car window as cars whizzed by. Everything had happened so fast and I was honestly hoping this was all some kind of terrible nightmare and I would just wake up. It has only been a week since my mom had passed she was my best friend(being the shy person I am) I told her everything. Now she was gone, a drunk driver took her life and thats something that can't ever get back. Now I would be living with my grandma, I do love my grandma but I always miss my mom and my old town.
The car began to slow down we turned into the driveway of a large victorian house (picture). "We are here," my grandma cooed stroking my shoulder, "hey its going to be okay."
"Thanks grandma, it's just hard right now," I replied looking down at my hands. I open the car door and gazed up at the the houses . It was way bigger than my old house and my grandma lived there alone because my grandpa had passed three years ago. We entered the house and the stairs were directly to the left of the entrance. My grandma led me up the stairs and down a hallway.
"This is your room," said suddenly, "I will let you unpack." Well this is my life now I guess. I flopped back onto my bed and let out a sigh.
