"The best people all have some kind of scar"- Kiera Cass

The inevitable occurrence that rips through your body like white hot iron coursing through you veins. It pries your eyes open to your deepest, darkest fears; hijacking your mind so much so that even a peaceful nights' sleep is a fleeting memory of the way things used to be. Your daily life now consists of pretending to smile to the oblivious, all the while carrying this incapacitating burden. Days are all of a sudden longer, more tiresome. The motivation you once had to do a million-and-one things with your life. Gone. It is gone because you let it go. The reign over your life and your feelings was handed over to a thief. A parasite that syphons off your time and energy and watches you suffer. It hurts. Consuming your entire world and even when you try to distract yourself from it.. It's always there.

There's beauty in pain. The beauty is that all pain is temporary. The hurt people caused you, it won't be there anymore. Time heals. The never ending battle you think you have to deal with will, in fact, be a battle that ends. A mother will spend hours, even days in agonising labour only to receive the most beautiful reward. In those hours when her body takes complete control over her consciousness, every nerve in her body telling her she can't handle it, the pain is too much, she needs a way out. Moments later, she stares at the most beautiful gift she could ever receive. All of that suffering, suddenly manifesting into happiness. For life is too fragile to be spent wading in your own self pity. Life fades away in an instant. As quickly as falling to sleep. No matter what kind of pain latches itself onto your heart, there is always something to live for. Without pain we would not cherish the happiness we already have; for we would know nothing else. Cry your heart out, be sad, have a day to yourself or find comfort in friends. Then get back up, smile and live the life you deserve.

There is a God so much bigger than your pain and your problems. One that loves and cherishes you even on your darkest days. Learn to depend on him and hold his hand. Trust that he will carry you through the storm, despite what the rest of the world says.

Pain is essential, pain is temporary. You are strong. You were created with the ability to tackle whatever life throws at you. Pain is a reason to be alive.
