I look back at her. "You're lying." I said. "I'm not I swear!" "Then tell me. Why are you holding a knife? And on top of that why are your wrists bleeding." "Sigh." She put her head under her arms minding the blood dripping down her face. I offer her my jacket. "Here. To stop the bleeding." She looks up and reaches her hand through the fence as I reach mine through. We stretch our arms as far as we can so she can reach the jacket. She ties the jacket around her wrists. "ALEX!" I hear my name in the distance. "Tomas!" I think to myself. I knew for sure he'd tell Auntie I was near the fence! "I have to go." "But.." She starts. "Sorry. I'm not supposed to be over here. I'll meet you there tomorrow ok?" "Fine.." She says in a disappointed voice. I get up and run away from the fence, forgetting my jacket but that's okay. "Boo!" I sneak up behind my brother. "Ahh!" He hits me with a medium size branch he found. "Sorry!" "It's fine" I say and start to laugh. We run home out of the forest. I look back at the fence, thinking of the girl I met.
"There you boys are!" I was worried sick!" "Come on boys, come eat dinner and get to bed!" My aunt says. That night I dream of the girl I met. I dream of running through the forest to her. How her wrists were stained red with blood and the terrified look on her face. I see her beautiful brown hair, gorgeous eyes. I wake up. "Wow.." I think to myself. "I think I have a crush on her." I shake head. "She's from the other side. I can't. I pack my things and my Aunt comes in. "Were are you off to mister?" My Aunt says. "Oh.. uh.. Tyler and I were going to explore the forest." "Oh ok. Sounds fine to me. You boys have fun." I eat my toast on the way out the door. I nearly choke on my toast to the sound of my brothers squeaky voice. "Hiya. Were ya going?" "Uh me and Tyler are going to the forest." My brother's eyes widen. "Can I come!?" "No Tomas you need to stay here." My Aunt says. "But!.." "No buts. Now let Alex hang out wish his friend." I look at my watch. 8:00! I think to myself. "Uh I'm going to go.. bye!" After I close the door I run into the woods.
There she is. My eyes catch hers. "Hi!" I say in a cheerful voice. "Hey." She replies back. "Hey.. why so gloomy?" I ask. "Oh.. it's just depression.. " Depression?" "Oh.. you wouldn't understand." She says. "Depression." I think to myself. Hmm. She looks at me and says "Hey ding-dong. Do you always daze out like that?" "Oh! Sorry.. Sorry." I say feeling a bit embarrassed. "I want to ask you something.." She says. "What?" I say. "How did you get there.. on the other side of this fence?" "I was born here I guess." I reply. "Oh." She sighs. We continue our conversation, several hours pass by. "Well. I better be heading back home." "Bye." I say. "Bye.." She says.
