"That was some spy level shit you just pulled." Nathan couldn't help but say.
"...and that was a very risky move you pulled. What were you thinking?"
Her reply made Nathan twitch his lips. He knew she was right. He hadn't envisaged things turning out this way.
"In my defense, my actions were worth it. I overheard something." He replied.
He was waiting for her to say what he really wanted to know. When she didn't broach the subject, he decided to bring it up.
"How did you find me? Did you know I was going to be there?"
Nurse Reese turned to him and smiled.
"I make it a priority to know where you are at all times. Especially since I now know the kind of danger you could be in."
"What are you talking about?" Nathan asked.
"I will tell you all about it but first, I need to take you back to your apartment. The soldiers will be on the lookout for the escaped intruder and I want you to be in your apartment by the time the search gets there. It's standard procedure for them to conduct a search when something like this happens."
"Thank you, Reese." Nathan replied.
"Don't tell Borgina about any of this. Certainly not my involvement." Nurse Reese added.
"Why not? Still upset with her?" Nathan attributed her request to the fact that she didn't like Borgina very much.
"There are several things you don't know about her. It's true she'll do anything to keep you safe but the real question here is why."
Nathan didn't quite understand Nurse Reese's line of thought here. He had known Borgina forever. There was no 'why'. She just had always been protective of him. That notwithstanding, he had noticed a few things that made him question her loyalty recently.
"I'll keep an open mind and hear what the nurse has to say."
"I know it will be tough for you to believe me over her but I have evidence to support my claim. We still haven't had the time to talk about the other things I found out. I'll come and get you during tonight's lights out so we can talk about everything." Nurse Reese continued.
"Sure. I'll be waiting for you." Nathan replied.
"We're going to walk back by foot. Using a Rover now will be drawing the soldiers' attention to us." Nurse Reese said.
"I understand. Let's walk quickly though. I still depend on Oxygen."
Both parties laughed. They walked silently to Nathan's apartment where Nurse Reese turned back at the entrance.
