So in apology for not updating sooner..... I'm double uploading. I hope it makes up for my lack of updates! By double upload, meant I'll update two days in a row. Enjoy! Sorry that I couldn't quite make it 1,000+ words like usual. It's 947 words, I believe.

The next day, nothing happened. Not a single major event.
Until later that night.
Cinder was lying restless in her dark room assigned to her. Her eyes stared at the ceiling, the offset light casting a purple flow across the roof of her room. She sighed, finding the drab colors of Atlas to be boring. Her room, much more like a refurbished cell, was a legitimate square. It consisted of nothing more than an bed, a bathroom that thankfully had a door and a sink, a small television, and then the door. The color of the white walls didn't help her opinion either.
She suddenly heard a knock on the door. She slowly got off her bed, gliding effortlessly to the metal door. She looked through the peephole, attempting to find the sudden visitor. She smiled once she saw who it was.
Opening the door, she was met with the smile of Flint. He stood in the doorway with his hands holding a bouquet of flowers, each one a different color.
"I thought you'd might like these, since there's no color here." Flint said once she made eye contact, raising her ambers eyes to his blue irises.
"I do, but why are you here so late? And where on Remnant did you get them?" Cinder asked, taking the bouquet of flowers from him. They were already in a vase, the dirt being saturated by water already poured. She turned on the light, allowing the bright white to radiate onto the walls and ceiling.
"The forest outside the walls. And I'm here because I got bored." Flint said, aimlessly. He moved into her room, glancing at the ceiling and the walls as if he had never seen a room like this. Cinder could easily tell that he was lying. Not about where he's gotten the flowers, but about why he was visiting her so late.
"You were having nightmares again, weren't you?" Cinder asked, dropping the vase onto her shabby desk.
"I'm sorry, Cinder. This one was different from the others. In the other nightmares, all I dreamt about was you being killed or Emilia at that. But this time......" Flint trailed off, glancing down to his left. Cinder turned around, then walked to meet him. She used her hand to guide his face up, forcing his eyes to meet hers.
"I lost you. I dreamt that I had still lost my memory, and as a result you ended up falling in love with someone else. I had to watch you fall in love with another person, while I just stood there dumbfounded." Flint took a deep, sighing as if the dream had hit him in the crotch.
"That won't happen." Cinder replied, pulling him into an embrace that he so badly needed.
Flint needed to hear those words. He needed to know that she would never happen, he needed to agree with her.
He listened to her and believed her. Something he would indeed grow to regret doing soon.
---
"So he doesn't know?" Asked a male voice. Two figures, caked by the shadows of the streets and the clouds of the storm, we're having a conversation.
"He doesn't." The other replied.
"When should we tell him?" The first asked. Lightning flashed and thunder crashed, revealing the hidden figures.
"I'm afraid that if he does indeed find out, he'll turn on us." Ozpin replied again, watching his now-free comrade.
"He's cares about her deeply, I know that Ozpin. What I don't know is if he'll choose her over the safety of the entire world." Ironwood said sternly.
"Neither do I."
"Ozpin. We need to tell him. Once 'The King' arrives, all hell will break loose. People will die, millions of people. The entirety of the human and Faunus race will be killed off, thus allowing the Creatures Of Grimm to succeed in their mission. He has to agree with us on this." Ironwood looked at Ozpin, trying his best to decipher what his old comrade was thinking about.
"So what do we tell him then, James? That he either sacrifices his fiancé or chooses the fate of the world? No, I believe now is not the time. He has just regained his memory, mind you. I do believe hat time is something we must allow." Ozpin stated, watching the flashed of lightning light the sky up.
"Time is something we don't have. He'll be here in two days, and once he's here he won't leave. Not until he dies."
"Then we'll kill him. It's as simple as that."
"Only one person can kill him Ozpin. And that person is dead." Ozpin closed his eyes, controlling the anger rising within him.
"Do not even remind me of Jaden Saltier. He is a very amusing person, but to a degree."
"But Jaden Saltier had something special about him." Ironwood said, following Ozpin's fixed gaze.
"Jaden Saltier was the Summer Guardian before he was 'The King'."

Flint was lying on Cinder's bed, having nearly fallen asleep. Cinder was lying on his arm, stopping the blood flow. She snored lightly, prompting a smile out of Flint. They were both fully clothed, as after exchanging a few words Cinder suggested they should sleep.
She was snoring instantly.
Before his consciousness pulled him under, he had another thought. One that he simply couldn't ignore until his sleep.
"He's coming."
