"Babe. Are you gonna make it on time?" You asked worringly through the phone
"Im sure I will. And if I don't I'm sure you'll do an amazing job anyways." Newt answered reasurringly
You started pacing back and forth. It was your first dance competition of the season. You had your costume on and you were just waiting for your solo time to start. The other competition would be hard to beat. You started panicking. He promised he would call when he would get there and not one single call. Not even a text.
"Relax. You'll do great!" Ms.Paige your dance teacher told you.
Soon it was time to perform. Tears stung your eyes as you figured he wasn't coming.
"From Full Out Performance Dance a lyrical called Stand By Me." The announcer announced
You positioned yourself in the middle of the stage. An acoustic version of Stand By Me by Ben E. King started playing. And you started going through your routine. The crowds eyes burning into you. About 30 seconds in you almost gasped at the sight. Newt was walking into the front row. He sat down and smiled at you. It filled you with determination and pushed you harder to dance your routine. It was probably the best you've ever danced before.
After your dance you ran out into the lobby to find Newt standing there with open arms ready for a hug. You squeeled and embraced him.
"I can't believe you made it!" You squeeled
"I can't believe how good you were!" Thomas said
You guys went out to eat and came back for Awards. You sat down on stage and Newt sat at the second row as the first was packed. They announced the awards. Gold being last, High Gold being medium, Platinum being first.
The announcer announced a couple of awards.
"Full Out performance dance Stand By Me is..... PLATINUM!" The announcer stated
You gasped and you stood up and got your trophy.
"What's your name?"the announcer asked
"Y/n."
"Who's your choreographer?"
"Ms.Paige." I said
"And one last thing. Who would you like to shout out. Doesn't have to be your studio." He said
You said your answer in two seconds
"I love you Newt! And GO FULL OUT."
Hey sorry I haven't been uploading. My sister has been having a ton of dance competitions. Her dance studio is Full Out Performance Dance. So yeah. I'll try to post more often.
