She was different.
She was not the same person.
She had already left.

The sea swelled and sprayed under the light of the full moon. Salty crisp air blown by multiple breezes whipped around a small figures hair. But her hair was suspended in the air as if in water, not blown around by the sea gusts.
She did not stand on land or any kind of craft. She instead stood on her toes balancing on the water itself. Her pale blue skin simmered silver in the moonlight as she gazed longingly at the sky.
Up, far above the waves, another figure descended from the sky bathed in pale light. Their light flowing sleeves giving the illusion of wings. The whole sea watched as the figure defended. This was them. This was her. But she was gone. This was not the moon.

The Moon continued to descend until she reached the water. She hovered just above the surface of the sea. And whenever a wave came up to her, it was dispersed by a field of energy around her.
