Chapter Four

Its already 7 in the evening,I decided to go somewhere. Ram is not at home,and also Sam and Cody I don't know where they go. That's why I decided to just lock the door and get in a car. I drive until I reach the town. I park my car in front of a bar. I just wanted to have a drink. I get inside and sit in one of the stool.I feel like someone staring at me so I observe the place to find out whoever it is but I can't see anyone. I just forget it and order something.
"Can I have one beer?" The old woman look at me and serve me. "Here,darling" he smile and continue on wiping the glass.
"Your new here?"
"Uhmm,yeah" I answer and nod at her and take a drink.
"You know what? People think its a myth but they don't know it is real and they socialize by it. Night by night there is someone innocent became a victim by them" I look at him and trying to figure out what she said.
"What do you mean?" My eyebrows get narrowed and still looking at her.
"You know what I mean and you are one them" she broke a glass in her hand and it make his hands wounded. Blood come out from it.It's so tempting. I tried to stop myself but I feel my eyes gets red and my fangs started to come out.And when I look around the place people looking at me so furiously. I've got the bad feeling with this.
"Monster like you don't deserve to live" And when I turn to look at that woman again she has the stake in her hand and planning to stab it on my chest. I dodge it. I took her hand and get off the stake from it. I took the glass of my beer and throw it on her face.Its just the liquid. Its my chance to get away so I turn my back at her and saw people stand up. I was about to run but they caught me and locked the front door.
"Get off me!" I scream and use all my strenght and toss them away. They bang on the wall. There were two men pop up in my front with a stake on their hand. I hold the two of them and twist both of their neck.
I was busy destroying the lock when an arrow pierce on my arm. It burns and severely wounded my arm. I tried to pull it off but I'm out of strenght because the arrow pierce through me has a silver on it. Someone put his hands on me and about to tied my hands with a silver thing. I grab and bite him. Blood spill all over his neck and I sip every drop of his blood. I throw him when his all drain. Five men corner me and hold me. But two of them toss away and bang hardly again on the wall. They groan in pain.
Only the three of them still waiting on the right time to caught me. Someone pierce my arm again. I look who it is and found that it was the old woman. "Hold her" men hold me and finally put their silver thing on me.The woman draw near me.
"I won't let my men die for nothing. I must kill you" she point her finger on me. I don't have enough strenght anymore to say a thing or to fight back against them. Someone lend her a stake and was about to stab it on me. I started to get out of my conciousness and block out. But before that,I saw someone but I can't recognize his face anymore. I open my eyes and see that I'm in a car and someones driving. I'm at the back seat. I remember what last happen about me. I get up and my wound get hurt. I slowly moving near on whoever it is.
I hold his neck so hard.
"Who are you?!" He hold my hand and try to take it off. He stop the car and strongly push the break. I bang myself in a corner of the car.
"Aw!" my wound hurt so much.
He start to cough,hold his neck and look at me.
"I'm sorry,okay? But why did you do that? *cough*" he said and still getting his breath.
"I don't know who you are and why I'm here! Are you one of them? Are you planning to kill me too?! Oh f*ck this town is crazy!" he help me to get up and sit beside me.
"No I'm not one of them,I help you out"
"How did you know that I was troubled?"
"I plan to have a drink but I saw that it was close. So I decided to better go home but I heard a scream. And saw it was you"
"How did you--"
"So where do you live?"
"Just let me out of this car and I can go home alone" He start the car and drive.
"I insist on bringing you home,after what happen earlier. I can't let you go home all alone. It must be dangerous for a girl like you"
"I'm not a kid no more. I can handle myself. And obviously, I'm older than you!"
"Yes you are. But still your a lady and a gentleman must bring you home safely" He smile and look at me for awhile and look again on the road.
After a moment we finally arrive. He open the car door and help me out. We started to walk and reach the door.
*knock* *knock*
The door opens and Ram is the one who open it.
"Ahh hey,I just bring her home" The guy said beside me. Ram just look at him and nod.
"Thanks,and you can go now"
He smile and nod. And when he reach his car he wave at us. He get in his car and finally gone.
I go inside and Ram close the door.
"What happen?" he ask with a serious voice of him. He open the small cabinet and get the first aid kit.
"I get in trouble" I plainly answer. I sit on a couch and he sit beside me. He start to treat my wound.
"This place a bit dangerous,you should be careful"
"I'm not inform that this town has crazy people in it that trying to kill someone like me" he look at me and saw some stains of blood near at my mouth.
"You suck their blood?"
"Its only one of them,they try to kill me and I'm defending myself"
"And who is that guy?" He continue treating my wound.
"I don't know. But,he help me--
Aw! be careful!"
"You don't know him? And just let him go here?Why can't you just call me ?"
"He insist! I don't think there's something wrong about it. And I don't wanna bother you just for this"
"You can't trust anybody Avril. What do you mean just for that? Your severely wounded and almost die" I can see in his eyes that his truly concern about me.
"You care for me?"
"Of course,I said I protect you and I will, no matter what" I don't know but I feel a little happy when he said that. It feels good when you know someone care for you. I smile and look at him.
"Go get some rest" he pat my head when he's done. I just go upstairs and rest.
