Bzzzzz…bzzzz…bzzz…bzzz..
Christina’s phone vibrated on her kitchen counter behind her. She was facing the coffee pot waiting for her coffee to brew in the early morning. The tasteful aroma filled the house and she breathed it all in peacefully. This morning was the day she would be leaving to tour with Maroon 5 and co-woker/close friend Adam Levine.Speaking of which, she turned around and found that Adam was calling right this second.
"Hello?" Christina said into the phone.
"Christina?"
"Yeah? Hey, Adam!"
"Hey! Just wanted to give you a heads-up, we’re picking you up around 12 today, okay? For the record, we’re never late so make sure you’re not," Adam said with his teasing voice.
“‘Um, excuse me! I’m never late! Guess what,”
"Do I want to know the answer?"
"Yeah, I’m never late. All the others are simply early," Christina said, in the same accent as Julie Andrews in The Princess Diaries, and she ended it with her signature laugh that never failed to put a smile on someone’s face.
"Oh wow, Julie Andrews?" he asked.
"Of course! She’s the queen!" she replied.
"LITERALLY,"
"Oh god, stop! Just stop," Christina laughed. Adam laughed while replying.
"There’s a change in schedule though," he said.
"Oh noooo, what is it? Are they kicking you out because that’d be great," she teased.
"Oh please, this tour can’t happen without me! And no, the news is that we’re gonna be sharing a bus."
"You and I? Or,"
"Yeah, just us," Adam replied slyly.
"Oh, good, no witnesses! I can beat you up whenever I want," she joked.
"Hahaa! Try me!" He said.
"Anytime, pretty boy! But after I get ready. Seems that if you’re the only one picking me up, I’ll have to be extra fast. Text me when you’re outside, okay? I know management sent my stuff to where their loading the buses, so I’m just gonna get whatever else I need ready, I’ll be ready by 12, I swear," she smiled.
"You better be! I’ll text you," he said.
"Alright, Adam, thanks," she said.
"You’re welcome. Bye,"
"Bye," Christina said.
She pressed the “end” button on her phone and returned it to where it was originally, on the kitchen counter.
Seeing as her coffee was ready, she took her mug and brought it up to her bedroom and continued to pack a few more of her things into a Burberry bag that she would carry on the bus.
"10:45…10:45…okay, I have enough time to take a shower and get myself all dolled up and whatever," she said to herself. She got up from the floor and walked into her bathroom to take a shower.
Minutes passed and she came out nice and refreshed while the morning-now turning afternoon- sun peered in through her window.
By 11:45, Christina was on her porch waiting for the bus to pick her up.
20 minutes passed and Christina could see a bus coming her way and picked up her bag, making sure she didn’t leave anything essential in the house before leaving.
"5 minutes late, Adam! Who’s the late one now?!" she yelled over the loud motor to him.
"Shut up and get on the bus," he smiled at her. Walking down from the little staircase by the door, he greeted Christina with a hug and kiss on the cheek and carried her bag onto the bus.
"Jesus, what do you have in here? We’re only touring for 3 weeks, you know that?" he said.
"I do, I do, but a girl needs to have options! Especially if I’m gonna be sharing this bus with you," she said.
"Okay, okay, I get it," he said. Adam closed the door and sat in the couch opposite of Christina, setting her bag by his feet.
"Thanks for agreeing to tour with me though," he said.
"You’re welcome," she said, looking at him, "here we goooo!"
**The End of Chapter 1**
Author’s note: Hey guys! I know this is short but I’ll be writing these in Chapters as the days go. As in one day will equal one story, so keep checking up! It’ll be a lot of fun. I write a lot when it’s all about one day. I hope you look forward to it!
