The hallways are empty as I walk down them, my footsteps echoing through the hall.
What did Hannah do this time? I swear I'll kill her.
I hurry to bathroom next to room 231, my feet slapping the yellow tile floor.
I wrench open the door, and step inside.
Ellie stands at the sink, (which is three sinks all connected), letting tears drip down her face. Jocelyn and Madelyn stand next to her, both patting her back.
Ellie has long, wavy, copper blond hair, and hazel eyes with porcelain skin. She's about 5 foot 5, which, I think, is average sized for a 10th grader. She is slightly curvy, with a small waist.
Jocelyn has dirty blond hair, the ends of it dyed pink, and green eyes and neutral skin. She's taller than all of us, having a height of 5'9. She has no curves, and has broad shoulders.
Madelyn has dark brown, long, wavy straight hair, and olive colored skin with deep, brown eyes. She's the shortest, at 5'3. Some boys would say, ' She has all the right curves in all the right places.'
Me, I have ivory skin with wavy, medium length brown hair and pale, gray eyes. I'm 5'6. I look like a box.
Madelyn turns to look at me.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Hannah and her clique is what happened." Madelyn huffs.
Those b*****s. Always making trouble.
I go over to Ellie, and stroke her back.
"Shhhh. It's okay. Just calm down. It's okay. Shhhh." I say quietly, gently.
Her crying gradually stops. She turns to face us, her face all red and puffy.
She sniffles. "Thanks."
We pull her into a hug. "Oh, of course Ellie. We're always here for you." I exclaim.
"Yeah!" Jocelyn pipes in. Madelyn nods in agreement.
Tears brim Ellie's eyes again. "You guys are the best." She chokes out a small laugh.
"Now, Ellie, I know you are upset, but what did they say?" Jocelyn asks.
Ellie wipes her nose with her hand. "They told me I was a fat b****. And they said I should jump off a cliff, because.....because..." Her lower lip starts to tremble. "Because I don't belong in this world." She starts balling her eyes out again.
I'm gonna beat Hannah's ***. How does she have the nerve to say something like that?
Ellie goes into a bathroom stall because she wants to be alone. Madelyn, Jocelyn, and I crowd around in a circle, and hush our voices to a whisper.
"I think we should tell the principal. This is going too far." Jocelyn says.
"I would love to show those snotty girls that they don't rule the school." Madelyn says.
"But remember what happened last time? Hannah totally dissed the fact that she did say those rude things when we brought it to the principal. He ended up just telling both girls to stop it." I remind them.
A couple months ago, Hannah and her clique of popular girls kept sending Ellie notes in her locker. They told Ellie that she would never be pretty, nor would she ever be skinny enough to fit in a size L dress. Ellie missed a week of school. When we brought the issue to the principal, we had no 'proof'. We still had the letters, they were kept in Ellie's locker, but somehow, they 'magically' disappeared.
