Can we all just appreciate this pic real quick?😂
Pocahohtas' POV
"Don't you dare even say that."
I giggled, twirling a strip of his hair around my finger. "I'm just saying that if you cut it, it might not get in the way all the time."
He glared at me, taking my hand away from his hair and squeezing it. "Are you kidding? My hair is my best friend."
I laughed. "If you want to get a job someday..." I stopped talking, knowing that it probably wasn't the best thing to be talking about right now, considering that technically he did have a job that was currently keeping us apart.
He raised an eyebrow at me. "What about it?"
I shook my head, looking down at my hands. "Sorry."
"Don't say sorry, what were you going to say?" I was glad he didn't seem fazed by my remark. "Come on, Poca, what I'm doing isn't a real job, I barely get paid. Tell me, I could use this advice."
I smiled weakly at him, turning towards him. "Short, neat hair looks more professional, at least from what I've seen when my dad hires people."
He thought about this. "So if I cut my hair, your dad would hire me?"
"I mean, probably, you're a hard worker and have good grades..." My voice trailed off, seeing where this was going. "You want a job at the resort?"
He shrugged. "If I got to see you, why not?"
As much as I liked the idea, he would be extremely distracting, I wouldn't be able to get anything done. And if we broke up (pray to God that doesn't happen), I would have to fire him, right?
I shook my head. "You wouldn't want a job at the resort, you're too good for it."
He scoffed. "And my current job as an underpaid, construction worker that requires me to live in a beat up motel does? You don't have to hire me," He kissed my hands. "but if you need someone to help, I'd be happy to work for you."
Truth be told, we couldn't really afford any more workers right now, but I couldn't tell him that.
"Speaking of jobs, how is yours going? No one suspects anything, right?"
He looked up at the sky then back down at me and I couldn't help but feel he was hiding something when he smiled at me. "Nope, it's all good."
I smiled back. "Good."
I leaned my head on his shoulder, sighing. Suddenly, the bright day didn't seem so bright anymore. I couldn't help but feel like this was the calm before the storm, whatever the storm was.
"Hey," He cooed, noticing my discomfort. He lifted my chin so my eyes came in contact with his glittering blue ones. "don't worry yourself over this, ok? It's all good."
I smiled weakly, nodding.
He smiled back, leaning down and kissing me.
And my fears vanished.

Kobe's POV
"Why don't you go out with your friends tonight?"
"No, mom," I grumbled, punching numbers into my calculator. "I have work to do."
"Honey," She slid into the seat across from me. "I know that the resort is your responsibility now, and your father and I love the hard work you are putting into it, but you need some down time."
