Oikawa awoke with a pounding headache and eyes swollen from crying all night. All because a nightmare. One that was always the same, yet it still haunted him for so long. He was exhausted to the point that he just wanted to give up and lay in bed for the rest of his life.

Pathetic, he told himself. It was time that he got himself together and finally did something besides moping around all day.

Lazily, he dragged himself off of his bed, ignoring the worn journal and the mess of blankets he left in his wake. He stretched, arching his back and cracking his fingers. Once standing upright again, Oikawa slipped his feet into his faded slippers and made his way towards the kitchen.

As his feet padding through the narrow hallway, he skimmed his fingers along the wall, hands tracing over the cracks and dents. Paint chipped off from where he had touched, falling to the floor next to the dust stuck in the crevices.

Ah, the memories made here.

Oikawa then passed a locked door, dented and damaged in multiple ways. He winced slightly at the shards of glass stuck underneath the door's frame. That door led to something that he never wanted to see ever again. It would be too overwhelming.

Finally, he reached the kitchen and decided to fix himself some tea. He reached for a mug in the cupboard above, choosing one adorned with stars. As he poured some water into a kettle, he leaned over to grab a bag filled with earl grey leaves and drummed his fingers along the countertop as he waited for the water to finish boiling.

A couple minutes later, the kettle whistled, signaling that he could now make his tea. Lifting up the kettle, Oikawa poured the steaming water into his starry mug, plopping the tea bag in before he walked over to his wooden coffee table. He sat down and leaned back as he let his mind wander whilst sipping on his tea. He hissed as he burnt his tongue, silently cursing as he set his mug down.

Before he had a chance to get some cold water for the burn, his actions were interrupted by the chime of the doorbell, causing his head to shoot up.

Oikawa stood up cautiously, utterly confused as to who would want to see him. No one ever visited. At least not since that happened.

He stumbled towards the door almost tripping over the floor in the process. He didn't bother to check who his visitor was, so he quickly undid the locks and swung the door open.

The door creaked open, revealing a figure who was too familiar.

"Trashykawa, I've been look-"

"Iwa-chan?"
