Chapter 1.1 : My Last Day Of School

I struggle for a breath as I pull myself off the ground. The pain in my head getting stronger with every passing second. I look around me trying to see through the dark forest.

"Run it's coming", said a women's voice.

I turn around and standing there is a young women with blood red hair running at me with speed I thought not possible. Bright blue armor covered her entire body and She was holding a spear in her right hand and a long silver sword in her left. As I turn to run my foot catches a root and I fall to the ground.

The women gets to me and reaches out her hand. She grabs my shirt and I feel her strength as she pulls me off the ground.

"Are you trying to get us killed? I said run." the women says as she shoves me forward.

I start running as fast as I can. The women running just to my right. I turn to look at her and I can tell she is holding her speed back to not leave me behind.

I look behind me and I don't see anyone.

She grabs my shoulder pulls me forward and says, "Don't look back, it'll slow you down."

Nothing is making any sense. Who are we running from and why can't I hear anyone behind us, let alone see anyone.

"There isn't anyone following us, and how do you know where we're going, I can barely see what's in front of us", I said to the young women.

"Stop distracting yourself and run", she said. This time her voice sounding angry.

"Who is chasing us?"

"There called reaps, now just keep your mouth shut and run", she replied her voice almost a roar.

This forest is huge, it seems we've been running and getting nowhere.

"Ahhhhhhhhh"

I put my hands on my head and stopped running. My head suddenly feeling like it's about to explode.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh"

"Why does my head hurt!", I screamed as I fell to my knees.

She grabbed something from the inside of her armor and shoved it into my hand.

Suddenly the pain was gone. I looked down at my hand to see what she had given me. It was a small sphere with four green gems sticking out of it.

I got off the ground.

"Thank......" my words fell short as I could see the fear in her eyes. She was looking all around us weapons in hand ready to fight.

Fear began to fill my thoughts and I readied my hand into a fist not knowing what was about to happen.

Suddenly a dark figure rushed too the women knocking her at least 30 feet away. Before I could react I felt a hand reach around my neck as it pulled me up against a tree.

I looked up to see what had a hold of me and as soon as I did I wish I hadn't. Its eyes were made of fire and its teeth were red and as sharp as a wolf's claws. Its entire head was just pure black darkness. I reached up to try and pull his hand from my neck but my hand made no contact. I looked down and all I could see was darkness in the shape of an arm. Then I realized that its entire body was made of darkness.

I looked back up to its face to what seemed to be a smile. And in a deep voice that cut through the air like ice; it spoke.

"With your death their world is ours!"

I struggled to get free as the air filled with its dark laughter.

"Ryder", the women screamed.

I was running out of breath as the reap squeezed my throat. My sight getting dimmer by the second. The only thing I could hear is the women screaming my name.

"Ryder"

"Ryder"

I open my eyes and jump out of bed, my heart pounding against my chest. And sweat running down my face.

"Ryder"

I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

My heart began to slow as I realized it was just a dream.

"Ryder, you better be up or I am coming up there"

"I'm up", I yell downstairs trying to keep my mother calm.

"Your gong to be late for school", she yells again.

"I'll be right down"

I run to the bathroom in a hurry to take a shower. Once I am done I throw my clothes on and head downstairs.....
