Our Destiny..... Ch. 26 Auslly fanfiction

Austin's POV

We stand up, and the air is so tense you could practically cut it with a knife. But then again who carries around a knife right? (XD)

Just before we leave, I lean down and gently put my lips on Ally's. It felt so right, but I knew we didn't have much time so I very reluctantly pulled away. She just blinks at me, once, twice, three times.

"What was that for?" A small smile tugs at the corner of my mouth.

"A good luck charm, in case we don't both make it out of here." Her eyes light up with pure happiness, something I haven't seen in her for a long time.

And it was simply one of the best moments of my life, seeing her standing there with a smile on her face, and true joy in her eyes. Unlike the fake ones she'd been giving me, to convince me she was fine.

Unfortunately, we had to go.

"Come on." I whisper, grabbing her by the hand.

We make our way through the dimly lit hallways. I saw the slightest movement out of my peripheral vision. Whipping around, I see a young boy, no I kid you not he was around 13! He was wearing army-like clothing and a badge was on his left side, just like Janelle said.

I finally get a closer look at his face, and I see that it was strikingly familiar.

Agent Zyder.

What was he doing here?! He's a young boy!! He should be at home, playing video games and ditching school! Not here fighting! But then again, Agent Zyder. He must be trained for this, and that's when I see the bow in his hands, and quiver on his back.

Why does he have a bow? Why not a gun? He nods at us, waving his hand motioning us to come closer.

"Nice to see you again Austin, this must be the famous Ally." He smiles slightly as he says this, and I see something flash across his eyes.

Hurt.

Exhaustion.

Innocence.

That's when I realize he shouldn't be here, he's much too innocent for this. When I was thirteen all I had to worry about is my popularity!

He was sick of this life, sick of having to be on guard 24/7.

It's amazing how much I got from that little emotion he showed, that millisecond where he let his guard down.

"What do you mean famous?" Ally draws me back from my wandering thoughts.

"I'll explain when we get out of here, now come on. I have orders to follow you two out and guard you." The sudden protection I have over this boy is slightly scaring me.

"You shouldn't be here." I blurt out. He turns to me, raising a brow.

"Why not? Cause I'm a kid?" He chuckles.

"Exactly, you're still a kid. You're still innocent, you shouldn't be doing this." His laughter is suddenly cut short, and whatever emotion he once had is gone from his features.

"Innocent? I'm far from innocent. My innocence was taken from me long ago." His voice cracks at the end, and tears fill his icy blue eyes.

My eyes widen when I catch his underlining meaning, and I see Ally does too cause she leans forward to hug him. At first he was rigid and tense, but soon after begins to relax to her touch.

After a few moments of her hugging Agent Zyder, I really need to ask for his name, pulls away wiping tears away with his sleeve.

"That's enough, we've wasted lots of time. Come on, follow me."

"Wait!" He turns back around.

"Yes Austin?" He questions.

"What's your name?" He smiles.

"I'll tell you once we get out."

Surprise!!! I'm back people's!! I've decided that I should continue, for two reasons. One, I miss fanfic writing. Like you wouldn't believe, I sometimes stay up till 12 just thinking about if I should go back. Two, cause I got new ideas!! So I'm going to update this story and once I finish it I'll do my other story.

Now, don't tell me to update. The main reason I quit is because of pressure, I hated people telling me to UPDATE!!!! You wouldn't believe how much pressure it is on a writer, if you write you"ll understand. So I'll update on my own time, ok?

Moving on, how'd you like it? Why do you think Austin feels that way towards little Zyder? Also, in case some people are confused Zyder is his last name. Hence Agent Zyder.
