I wake up still thinking about the fight last night and all the other fights we had. I should be happy it's over and I got way but it feels like a piece of my heart has been ripped out and left a the old rundown flat James and I shared. I get up and go to the bathroom. Emma is already up but I have not seen her yet today. She must be getting food or coffee. I look in the mirror, my cheek is purple and my eyes are red. I am a colorful person. (I laugh silently to myself). After I am done looking at my face I put on my glasses. They hurt for a minute when I first put them on my face. My nose is what hurts the most.

Anyway I walk down stairs and find Emma sitting at the table her head proped up with by her hand, there is a cup sitting next to her with a half eaten donut. When she sees me her eyes get wide and she looks wide awake.

"What the !@#$ happened to your face?" She asks in disbelief.

"Ummm.... J- James happened." I say reluctantly, smiling grimly.

"This isn't the first time is it?" She ask quietly. I shake my head slightly. "Have you told anyone? I mean besides me." I shake my head slightly again. "We're going to press charges then get a restraining order. Because this-" She waves her hand at me, "- is NOT ok." I open my mouth to protest, "And I don't care what you think because I'm gonna sue his @&$ either way."

I know there is no way she is going to listen to me so I just let it go.

"We will talk about it when we are both just a bit more sane." I say like that'll happen. If there is one thing (lol I love that song) I know about Emma is once she has made up her mind there is no changing it.

"Sure." She puffs out implying 'I'm going to do what I want so just keep dreaming.'

"Ooo, are those donuts?" I ask changing the subject.

"You don't even like donuts." She says obviously knowing I'm changing the subject.

"Yes I do." I say walking over and grabbing her cup.

"Jess- no- that's-" she starts but I take a sip. Immediately I spit it out.

"Yeck!"

"Coffee..." she says "I tried to warn you."

"Sure," I say "I'm making some tea."

I make some tea and sit with her at the table. I grab her laptop and type in the password. J-E-M-A.

"JEMA? Really. Dude you have had that password since we were kids." I say laughing at her password.

Why don't I give you some background on Emma and I. See, Emma and I have been friends for I don't know how many years. My parents went to school with her parents and well they stayed friends. Emma is like my sister, for a long time I stayed with her and her family while my parents were "busy" really they were either fighting or having sex.... Their love life was really bipolar. No joke like one minute they were getting a divorce and the next they were renewing their vows. Emma was like my councilor through the whole thing, and I hope I was like that for her. Emma and I used to be almost conjoined at the hip, we were always together so people started calling us Jema.

"Well you know, I love that name." She says

"Do you love me?" I ask leaning backwards in my chair.

"No." she says

"I hate you too." I say returning to the laptop.

FACEBOOK!!!!!

"Whacha doin'?" she asks, what you can't read my mind?

"FACEBOOK!!!" I singsong. I just thought it! And you call yourself a demigod!!!
