The buildings around here were a lot different then my old village, in fact nothing like Devenford, the buildings here are several stories tall, they aren't all the same, they are built out of different materials. There are street lights and pavements as well. Vale is really, fancy.

I must not of noticed how late it was or how long I spent trying to find a dust shop, but by now the sky was almost pitch black, with just a tint of blue in some areas. I started approaching the 'From Dust Till Dawn' shop given that dust was in the title I figured I was on the right track, It's just as fancy as all the other buildings, but had two giant glass windows which realistically wouldn't be good assuming there were thief's here just like Devenford.

Opening the shop door I was faced with a rather old looking man, he had big eyebrows and was bald on the top of his head, but had spiked out hair towards the side.

"Uh, excuse me, do, do you mind telling me about dust, or do you have any pamphlets I could read?" He pointed behind him to the right.

"Just over there, if you need anything else just ask." I nodded a thanks and headed over into the direction he pointed. The first thing I saw was a girl in a bright red cape, one in which music radiated from, I passed her and picked up a book named 'DUST for Dummies and other Inadequate Individuals.' I flipped through a few pages.

'Dust Is used to fight.... Dust is also... Dust can be used with.' It seems like I already know the basics. On the back of the was a warning. 'The Schnee Dust Company is not responsible for any injuries or damages sustained while operating a Schnee Dust Company product. Although not mandatory, the Schnee Family highly encourages customers to read and familiarize themselves with this easy to follow guide to Dust applications and practices in the field.' I placed the book back on the shelf and caught a quick glimpse of the red hooded figure. She looked young, her brownish red hair and gray eyes gave her a childlike appearance. She caught me staring and pushed her headphones down around her neck.

"Uh, nice song." I mentioned and quickly left, not wanting to continue talking. I went back to the shop owner and asked if he knew where a blacksmith might be, he gave me directions and I thanked him for his help before I left the shop.

I started walking down the street when I was confronted by a bunch of men in black and red suits and another one that looked to be the leader as he was the only one that was wearing white, plus his orange hair stood out quite a bit.

"All of you look retarded." I mumbled under my breath as I passed them.

"What'd you say, brat!" One of the henchmen guys shouted after me.

"Just leave her, we have more important things to be doing." Thank god, to be honest with Laae still broken I'm lucky he's busy or else this could have gotten progressively worse for me.

I made it to the blacksmith in record time, it seemed to be right around the corner from the dust shop. as I entered the shop keeper eyed me wearily, he looked to be the same age as the dust shop owner, they could even be brothers. I walked up to the counter, removed Laae from my hair and placed her on the counter.

"Oh my, could, could that be the legendary 'Wings of Sadness' the one from ancient times." I gasped loudly as he spoke of Laae's other name.

"How do you know?" I didn't think anyone would recognize Laae.

"I loved the story when I heard about it. I was in my forties, I used to tell my grandchildren every night before they went to bed, they complained, but I never stopped telling them. In hindsight it probably wasn't a very good story to be telling children." He lowered his head briefly.

"I can see why." I laughed awkwardly. "Look, I uh don't currently have any money to pay you, but I was wondering if you could help me spruce her up to fit in with the new generation and I could pay you back later." He smiled at me.
