When two worlds collide

The woman

Somewhere in little farm far far away from the cities lived a woman. She was poor and all alone. She spend her days working at the farm to have some food to live. Her parents moved here after they got married. They were running from their family, who didn't approve their marriage. Her mother came from a rich family and her father from a poor farmer. They had nothing after they ran away. Her parents died when she was 20. At that time she didn't know anyone. She never even been outside of the farm. Although she never felt like leaving her house, she did feel lonely time to time. A few hours away from the farm was a little town. After her parents died, she went here once a week to sell the spare food. This way she could buy some bread and save money for the winter, when nothing could grow. She was enjoying herself even though she didn't have friends of neighbors or anyone to talk to. Her mother had a lot of books. When she run away with her husband, she took most of the books with her. She loved reading to her baby. During her childhood, her mother taught her to read. This made the woman fall in love with reading too. After the work on the farm was done she would sit next to the fireplace and read her mothers books. By now she must have read them all many times, but they were still enjoining her. Next to her farm was another farm.  This one was abandoned for years. The woman, barely thirty, haven't seen anyone go near there. Her parents always told her that is was abandoned before they came live here. The roof is broken and the place looks like it can collapse any moment. To go to the little town, the woman had to travel through a forest. 

One day, late in the evening, the woman heard a lot noise coming from the forest. she got out of bed, light a candle and went to have a look. When she got to the window on the side of her little house, in which you could see the forest, she saw a group of man storming out of the forest. They were all riding on horses. Some horses had wagons behind them. The men were carrying torches and weapons. The woman knew, just by the look of them, that they are robbers. She also knew, she was in big trouble. The robbers would come and plunder her house, probably even kill her. She knew there was no way she was able to escape. Although, that didn't stop her from trying. She ran up to the front door. If she was fast enough she might be able to hide near the abandoned house. Unfortunately, one of the robbers saw her. He told his mates and they all told their horses to speed up. Before the woman knew what was happening, she was surrounded by the robbers. 'Well, well, well,' one of the robbers said, ' look what we have here, thought she could run away from us.' The man all start laughing while they got closer and closer to the woman. ' You shouldn't have done that, you should have been a good little girl and stayed inside. Now you will be punished' the man spoke again. He grabbed her arm and pulled her closer. He start ripping her nightdress. The other man were still laughing. The man holding her pushed her on the ground. There she lay, naked. The man starts beating her, while another man holds her. They tried to rape her, but she was fighting against them. She kicked them, hit them, until the men got grip of her legs and arms. She thought they were gonna kill her, but than she heard a voice screaming 'Leave her alone, you bastards!' She saw that many of the men were turning their head away from her. Then one of them hit her hard in her face. Everything got black...
