Staring off into the city was bliss. It was quiet and the presence of the two teens were welcoming. Eventually, Vanessa dragged Justin around her property. She showed him little knicks and knacks the patio and the house itself. Soon enough, the two teens were positioned on the garage, taking bikes off of the shelf.
Vanilla chocolate skin was exposed as Justin outstretched his arms and brought down the second bike. Small back dimples rested along the line of his lower back along with small freckles. Vanessa blushed and looked away when Justin glanced over at her. A small chuckle escaped his lips and a smirk appeared. Although the two hadn't known each other for long, he knew staring was Vanessa's thing, whether it was intentional or not.
"Thank you. I could've gotten them down you know." She spoke, the rosy color within her cheeks fading as she grabbed her bike and began to walk out of the garage."Could've." Justin shrugged, grabbing the other and following. Vanessa rolled her eyes as she sighed softly.
"Van.." Justin began as he hoped onto the bike.
"Yeah?" She questioned mimicking him.
"Why'd you follow me the night of Wayne's party?"
A question that was bound to come up in one of their conversations but a definite answer wasn't available. Was it because of his pipes or because of how mysterious he looked? Was it the simple fact that she was slightly intrigued by his unique persona that she didn't know of yet? Vanessa thought back to the moment she laid eyes on him and began to peddle behind Justin."You stopped everything for me that night. Your voice was astonishing, to say the least. There was something about you, overall. Why I followed you? I don't know. I can't answer that. I could've followed anyone that night. I could've even walked home myself, yet I chose you." She chuckled, the light breeze blowing her messy hair back and slashing at her skin. "Ultimately, I guess it's because you appeared to know what you were doing. Seeing you jump over that fence made me conclude that you were safe. I would be safe. In the end, I was safe and whether you knew of me or me in general, you took care of me and I couldn't thank you enough for that."
A smile formed on Justin's face and small dimples appeared as he slowed down. So many thoughts ran through him such as: I wish I could've stopped you from drinking but each one could result in triggering something in his newly found friend so he changed his way of thinking.
"Wait, so you basically followed me because of my voice, Van?" He joked.
"What? No-" She started before Justin howled.
"I'm kidding. In a way, I'm glad you followed me. Although, that was a little creepy." He joked again. "I'm glad I could make you feel safe, in all honesty."
Vanessa nodded and continued to move along, passing Justin the process. She circled around the decoration of flowers and the stone path way. Justin began to peddle again and simply watch her this time. The trees danced in awe while the two teens road around in silence.
After putting the bikes back into their assigned spots, the two went back into the house and found their way into the living room.
"Thanks." Vanessa huffed, as she plopped down on the sofa.
"For?" Justin questioned, raising an eyebrow and she sat down beside her.
"Being my company." She smiled, looking over.
"Anytime." He smiled back. Afterwards, a roar emerged from below and Vanessa chuckled. Pershing his lips into a thin line, he began to scratch the back of his head which was buzzed.
"That's not awkward." He commented.
"Not at all." She said shifting up. "I guess that's our calling to get some food. Maybe after we can just chill out and watch a film or something?"
"Alright. Let's see what we have here." He stated, walking into the kitchen and taking it in once again.

A/N: Chapter 1 is ten views away from 800. Honestly thankful.
Anyways, the dialogue in the last two chapters have been semi-awkward to me.
(It's better now)
