I hear the sound of a stick cracking as I walk home. I turn around to see who it was, but no one was there. I can't get the feeling that someone is following me out of my head. I don't feel safe anymore... I just want to get home. I hear the sound of footsteps behind me, I turn around to see who it was again but still.. no one was their. I start to feel a shiver down my spine. "Whoever you are, show yourself!" I shout behind me, but no one stepped out. I hear the footsteps again, and a new sound.. the sound of a gun preparing to shoot. I start to run, as fast as I could. The footsteps are following me now, at a running pace.
The gun fires and a bullet passes my ear. I am scared out of my mind! I turn around for a quick second to see who fired at me... it was a dark shadowy figure that was tall indeed. That was all I could see catching a quick glimpse. I see my house about a few houses down and I start to run faster and faster. He shoots again this time hitting the back of my leg. I yelp in pain and start limping fastly.
The injury in my leg is throbbing in pain and I can't help tearing up. I get to the door of my house, open it with the key and get in quickly. I lock all the locks on the door and push my back up to it panting and catching my breath. I find a note on the door from my mom that reads:
Hey Wren, I've gone off shopping and I will be home soon. Your friend let me know that she'll be coming over in a bit, so make sure your room is clean and I will see you later! MOM XOXO
I run upstairs into my room and go onto my bed and hide under the covers. I start to cry and I just want the day to be over. 15 minutes later I stop crying and I start to get tired, without eating the dinner my mom has left on the table, my eyes close and everything gets dark.... very dark.
