There was a boy in her room. Sitting at her desk and looking at her bookshelf. Sarah's favourite part of her own room.
Tge boy turned to look at her. Sarah had seen that freckled face before. His green eyes were looking so intense at her, but she still had no clue who that boy could be.
"I'm so sorry! Your sister let me in and told me to wait for you in here." Said the boy. "I'm Vlad.". Sarah got a bit closer to him. He got up and look into her eyes. Then a flashback hot her. She actually meet that boy...Vlad, before. She was at the mall, alone talkimg on the phone with a friend, doing some last minute Christmas shopping, as usual, when she walked into someone. Sarah looked up, because even if she is a tall person, the boy was taller than her. His eyes were fixed upon her and his arms where on her shoulders. Sarah get back to the present day and said "Yeah! I remember you! Hi! I'm Sarah! How did you get here?"
"Well, when I ran into you, back in December, you dropped this. " He was holding Sarah's agenda.
"Hey! I was wondering where I put it! Thank you so much!"
"No problem! Amd I know it's already January 2nd but this was the only time youwere free. I checked."
"Ookk...it is really nice of you to come and give me back this....but still...that is my own personal stuff." She said.
"I know... I'm sorry. I mean it."
"I know...That's ok. Well, thank you again. Hope to see you again soon! Bye!" Said Sarah, pushing Vlad to the door and outside of her room. She closed the door and left herself to fall onto the bed. She was stearing at the ceiling, leaving out a big sigh. She took her white headphones from her nightstand, conected them to her phone and played some "Beatles".
While it was playing "Here comes the sun" she was thinking at his green eyes. That kind of perfect green that make you fall in love with them every time. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
She woke up 20 minutes later with her 10 year-ol sister so close to her face that she almost jumped out of her bed.
"Sooooo.....who was that nice boy? Was he your boyfriend?"
"Lizie...come on. I don't have a boyfriend and you know that." Said she while she was getting up.
"Then who was he?" Said Lizie sounding a bit anoyed.
"None of your buisness. Did you eat something when you came home from school?"
"Yeah! Mommy was home when I came home, then she left. Right after that, the boy knoked at the door."
"Aham, cool." Said the older sister looking rather distracted. "Have you seen my Yankees baseball cap?"
She was wearing her baseball cap pretry much everywhere. And if it wasn't on her head, it was most probably tied to her backpack. The cap was a gift from her father. They went to a baseball game four years ago on her birthday and she got that cap before loosing her dad in that terrifing car crash.
"Nope, I don't think I did. Maybe you fell asleep with it on your head, in this case maybe you would have to look between your bed and the nightstand." And there it was.
"You smart little girl." Said Sarah.
"Tomorrow is saturday. Do you wanna watch a movie with me?" Her sister asked with the sad puppy face on. "Maybe when it gets darker. I plan on getting on a walk tomorrow." "Ok then" and so she left.
Next day Sarah followed her plan. She walked a little bit around the neibourhood and then she went to the place the car crush happend. She sit on a bench and couldn't help but feel guilty for being the one who survived between the two of them. And she started crying. Some people say that time heals everything, but that is not always true. Sometimes, time only makes you miss certein people so much more.
Someone sat on the bech an started talking "Why are you crying?"
She recognised the voice at once. It was Vlad. But the only thing she did was to shook her head slowly while she was looking at her hand in her lap. He took her hand and said "Hei! Look at me!" But she didn't "Tears are always hiding the beautiful smile that a person has. ".
At that moment she stopped crying and looked at him. She still had her cap on. He wiped a tear that trickled down her check. He took her cap down and kissed her. A long and inoccent kiss.
At this moment she thought that this is the best gift that a girl could ask for her birthday.
