Chapter One- Bruises

The alarm sounded. Armin moaned and rolled over in bed. "Stupid alarm clock" He said as he lazily slapped that the small box on his nightstand.

He got up and pulled on a white shirt that was about two sizes to big. He grabbed a white button up shirt, his jeans and headed to the shower. When he stepped in he immediately noticed the cuts and bruises from yesterday."Why do they always do this to me." He said under his breath.

When he arrived at the school he was greeted by the strong stench of glue coming from inside his locker. All the pages in his books were stuck together and his homework was ruined."Now Mr.Smith is definitely gonna kill me! This is the third time this has happened!" It doesn't matter what I tell him, he never believes me. I think he favors the jocks.

He walked the long hallway to the library. There was medium hight woman with brown hair pulled back in a ponytail and glasses. She had her nose buried in a book about titans. "Umm Mrs.Zoë?" Armin said quietly. She immediately looked up from her book and a huge smile stretched across her face. "What is it Armin?"
"I..umm need some books...mine uh got ...lost." Small tears found there way into his big helpless eyes as a light pink blush spread like fire on his face.
"Sure, I'll be right back I've got some in the back. It's ok I have plenty" Hanji said as she disappeared into the room. She would have been back in about a minute but some boys trashed the room so there were books everywhere.

"Hey, Blondie!" Came a voice from behind him. He jumped nearly a foot in the air when he heard it. "U-Umm what do yo-" oh no, not him. Anyone but him
A tall muscular blonde boy stepped closer to him. He had a shorter blonde girl and a taller brunette boy by his side. "H-hi Reiner. I was umm just getting s-some books for class." The small tears in his eyes began to swell.
"I don't care about your stupid books. You know why I'm here."
"I told you I don't have any money!" Armin backed up a little and began to worry
"Well" He flashed a menacing smile and turned to Annie and Bertolt "You know what that means!" They began to walk closer. Reiner was the first one to throw a punch. It hit armin directly in the cheek. This sent him plumbing to the ground. The second to join was Bertolt. He kicked him in the ribs a few times before Annie pushed him out of the way. She dragged him up and hit him twice in the face. Reiner was about the take another swing when Eren and Mikasa walked in. Eren was the first to speak "What the hell is going on here!!!" He shouted. Mikasa ran over and tore Reiner from Armins collar. She punched him between the eyes and told them all to leave before she killed them. The trio ran as fast as they could. When they were out of sight Eren and Mikasa both knelt down beside Armin who was now bleeding from the nose and a few cuts on his face. He cluched his side and winced as the pain flared. "Are you ok Armin?!" Said Eren in a soothing and friendly manner. He turned to Mikasa and told her to get Mrs.Zoë. She ran through the door while eren remained. "Here let me help you up." He pulled Armin to his feet and led him out of the library. "Let's get you cleaned up. Ok?"

"Here, sit down on the floor while I get some tissue to clean you up. " Eren said as he walked towards the paper towel dispenser. He wet it under the sink. "What happened back there?"
"I-i was g-getting my books w-w-when Reiner and his gang c-came at me!" Armin said through sobs.
"Shhh" eren cooed "it's ok. I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you. I'm your best friend."He said as he held Armin to his chest.
Armin began to blush and sob even louder.
When Armin had finaly calmed back down Eren let him lean back. When ocean blue and turquoise eyes met, the blush on Armins face turned a deep red. Armin was the first to move. He tore his eyes away and looked to the cold floor. A single tear fell. Eren rubbed his back and said in a loving voice "I love being your best friend"
I know you do.....
