-“Take it easy now guys, you need cream before you run away!” I shouted to my seven year old sister Annie and her friend as they ran in the warm sand towards the lake. They stopped and ran back, hurried to put on sun-protective before they ran in the ocean as fast as they could. I rolled out the towels, took out a magazine from my bag and started to read, lying on my stomach. I pulled my hair up in a simple ponytail so I could read the magazine without getting my hair in the way.

It’s in the middle of June and every school had summer-break. All of my friends were on vacation far away except my, recently, ex friend Chloe. Why Chloe and I wasn’t friends anymore was because of my ex boyfriend had been cheating with her for the last two months before I caught them making out at Jake’s place just two days ago. Jake and I had been together for 4 whole months. Chloe is a pretty girl who always loves to hang after the popular people in school and she is a cheerleader. She always knows the latest fashion, which I never do. I’m too lazy for stuff like that. I thought that it was good between me and Jake. I know that we fought sometimes because of our different opinions of life and people. But apparently I wasn’t good enough for him. I thought I wasn’t like the other girls he had before, since I wasn’t a popular girl like his exes had been. But I was just another girl that he could play with.
It only took me an half of hour to look through the magazine so I sat up and started to look around at the people tanning in the warm sand, still holding my magazine. I spotted a brown-haired boy in a striped t-shirt and sunglasses. He had just arrived, holding an orange towel and his phone, only ten meters away. He took off his sunglasses while he looked over the lake. His face turned and his eyes crossed mine, and I immediately dropped the magazine. *Omg* I thought. *He must think that I‘m an idiot*, feeling my cheek blush. He smiled, showing his teeth.
-“Watch out!” My sister yelled running towards me with fat jelly-fishes in her hands.
-“Are you hungry?” Annie’s friend, with a name I could never remember, ran behind my sister, holding twice as many jelly-fishes.
-“Nooo!” I shouted while I started to run away from them. “Stop it!” I shouted again, laughing.
There were a lot of people starring angrily at us for shouting and because of all the sand we kicked around. Running into the lake and looking back at the chasers with gooey weapon wasn’t a great idea, I realized too late. *SMACK!* I’d run into someone with my head first, which made me lose my balance and fall backwards in the cool water. My eyes went blurry and the waves made it impossible to tell which side the surface was even if it wasn’t that deep. I felt someone taking my hand and pulling me up fast. Suddenly I stood up, facing a boy, a little taller than me and with breathtaking eyes, making me dizzy again. But the boy held me in his tattooed strong arms. I realized it was the same boy I’ve spotted before and I started to blush (again!), thinking *Why?!!, Why do God have to make me so clumsy?!* We looked into each other’s (what it felt like) souls which made me feel nervous but calm at the same time. It was a new feeling for me, not knowing what it meant. But I liked that feeling, which made me stood there in his arms amazed by our moment for seven slow seconds.
