Chapter One: Heartbroken by the heartbreaker.<Irene's P.O.V>
The rain was endless. Same as the tears that kept flowing from my eyes. My mind was still at the scene where this one guy broke my heart into pieces. It seemed like my heart couldn't still move on about it. I couldn't forget on what just happened.
-flashback-
It was late at night and he wasn't still at home. Where the hell is he right now?
His phone was ringing normally but he won't answer. Still hoping he would come home. Until now, the rain didn't stop. It made my worries grow more and more. No, I can't sleep without him at home. I just stood at the living room, waiting for him to come back, but I guess this was just a waste of time. I kept walking, following my pace forward and backward. Two hours had passed and I didn't noticed that I became tired and fell asleep. The sound of the keys clinging made me wake up. He's already home? As the door open, I smiled widely and ran towards him, hugging him tightly like he haven't got home for years. My worries faded. As I let go of the hug, I see his face without having any expression.
"Is something wrong, honey?" I ask him making my worries come back.
"U-uhm. You should have slept at this time. Why are you still awake?" He answered me with an unexpected tone.
"I was worried. I thought something bad had happened to you." I hugged him back. He nodded with an agreement.
>five days after<
"I'M SO SICK WITH THIS FUCKING RELATIONSHIP! I THINK WE SHOULD BREAK UP!" Without any hesitation, I couldn't believe he shouted those words at me straightly. It made me shiver down on my spine by his cold act towards me. I loved him more than I love myself, and this is just what he is going to do to me?! As he went out with two baggages at his hands, I tried to stop him from leaving. I grabbed the edge at his brown leather jacket, begging him not to leave me.
"P-p-please... Mark, don't leave me! I p-promise to fix this problem, just don't leave me!" I stuttered and cried out loud, still holding the edge of his jacket. He plastered with an annoyed look as he pushed me away, making me stumble down. He left... without saying a word. Without even crying out for me or regretting for breaking our relationship up with me. I can't believe he broke my heart in that way..
-end of throwback-
I wept away my tears hesitantly when the door knob suddenly opened, showing aunt Park with a bowl of seaweed soup from her hands. Actually, with all people that I know, only aunt Park was the one who protected me and supported me with everything. Even if we aren't in the same blood or families, she can still have the time to take care of me. After all of this sick problems, she was always there for me.
"Irene-ttal, are you alright? I bought you some seaweed soup here. Because it's your favorite, I made it for you. Get well darling. Don't forget aunt Park is always here for you, alright?" She said, while caressing my cheeks. Yes, aunt Park already knows about my situation. About the critical disease i'm having. I was thankful for having her. My parents are dead. I didn't had the urge to see them, even one part of their faces. Aunt Park was the one who told me about my parents. She knows them well because she was very close with my mother.
"T-thank you, aunt Park. Don't worry, I can take care of myself." I replied with an almost shaky voice. My whole body was weak and sometimes my heart keeps clenching, like someone is crumpling it hardly. I would sometimes think that it's my end. But even there are times that I couldn't breath, I still tried my best to survive. I need to live, so that I could take revenge to the ones, who broke my heart easily.
After that, she finally left the room, still having a worried look from her face. I slowly got up from my bed, having a little taste with the seaweed soup. I took out my medicine after and finally took a deep rest. As time flew, I slowly became well and turned back with my normal self. All the dark past was gone from my mind and I had finally moved on.
