***Jade's P.O.V***
"Hey Faith, you okay?"
"Well I guess... I bumped into Kate" Faith quickly looked over to the populars at the back of the class, then back to me "She doesn't seem to be in the nicest mood today. She'll probably start something later"
"Isn't she always in a bad mood?"
"Yeah" We laughed.
I looked to the back of the class again to see the populars already looking my way. I got a scowl from Kate, maybe Faith was right... Maybe she was going to start something later. I ignored the looks and continued to look around the room, I spotted Samantha, Ian and Jerome. We were a group of best friends, a small group but a close one. Luckily we all had Music first but they were the other side of the room. Damn it.
***Faiths POV***
Jade started to look around the room. I started to look for Ty, Quentin and Jimmy. We were like best friends. I loved hanging round with them. We were classified as the nerd group cause we're smart. Us along with Sally and Annie. Like that's a bad thing. Anyway I can see them over at the other side of the room, I started to walk over until I tripped and fell. I heard Kate snigger.
"Oops. Sorry," she said holding in laughter. The awkward thing was she was the only one laughing.
"Idiot," I mutter walking away.
"What was that?!" Kate snapped.
"Oh nothing your highness," I say sarcastically bowing.
I heard Jade snigger as I walked away towards Ty, Quentin and Jimmy with my guitar.
"Hi," I smile.
"Hello," Jimmy replied. I sat next to him and started to play 'A Thousand Years' on my guitar and sang along.
"I have died everyday waiting for you.
Darling don't be afraid I will love you,
For a thousand years,
I'll love you for a thousand more," I sang until I heard clapping from Jimmy, Ty and Quentin. I bowed in my seat. I'm alright at singing but not as good as Lauren.
***Lauren's P.O.V***
For the first part of the lesson, Kate seemed obsessed with Faith and Jade. All she did was whisper cruel comments about them to me, Mitch and Adam. We never laughed at them, though. This only made her more annoyed. I could literally feel the tension in the air.
Something was going to happen. Kate was going to do something. And the fact that I wouldn't be able to stop her made my heart sink.
I was casually chatting with Mitch, when I noticed Faith look over to our group. I hoped that Kaity wouldn't notice it, but I wasn't so lucky.
"What the hell is she staring at?" Kate growled loudly.
"Please just... Don't." I sighed. Kate turned to face me, a scowl plastering her face.
"Don't what?" She asked.
Uh oh... I didn't want to fall out with Kaity. Not on the first day of school. I had learned from previous arguments that Kate could make your life a living hell, if you got on the wrong side of her. Plus, I was living at her house! "Don't what?!" She repeated through gritted teeth.
"Please don't shout. I have a massive headache!" I lied, putting my hand on my head.
"Oh, want some pain killers?" She asked, her scowl turning into a friendly smile. Phew! Back to happy Kate!
"Nope I'll bear the pain!" I put a fake smile on my face.
Just as I thought I had saved a fight from happening, Jade glanced back at us. We all stared back at her, causing her to look away quickly.
"She knows what's best for her." Kate murmured. I saw Adam shake his head.
The boys started to talk between themselves, as Faith began walking to her group of friends. Kate smiled evilly to me, and stuck her foot out in front of her. There was nothing I could do.
Faith tumbled to the floor, nearly whacking her head on the floor. Kate sniggered. The boys went silent.
"Oops. Sorry!" Kaity said, holding in laughter.
"Idiot." I heard Faith mutter quietly, as she tried her best to walk away.
"What was that?!" Kate snapped.
"Oh nothing, your highness." Faith taunted, dramatically bowing. She then quickly walked away.
Kate jumped out of her seat, obviously going for Faith. I held her back, and pushed her back into her seat.
"She's not worth it. Just ignore her." I repeated this over and over again, whilst holding Kaity's arms down, until she calmed down.
After this, Faith owes me one, even though I don't even know her, and will probably never talk to her. Populars don't mix with nerds. That's the rules.
But, I saved Faith's ass twice today. She needs to learn not to react to Kate. Because next time, I might not be there to save her.
***Jade's P.O.V***
As soon as Faith had sat at down with her group, I took my drum sticks out of my bag and went over to the drum kit. There's only one and I always like to get it. I watched as Jerome walked over to me and held out a bass guitar,
"Whaaaaaat? Romie?"
"Don't call me that. I hate it" He pouted
"Awww, Romie!" The name was made to annoy him and it does exactly that, heh heh.
"Can you tune this for me? You know I can't do it" He smiled and tried to make a cute face,
"Yeah, save my seat"
I laughed at the face he made and walked to the piano in the room. I started playing the right notes and tuning the bass, using the lower notes because it was easier to match the sound. Then I hear someone slamming the higher notes, I look over to see Kate. God, will this girl leave anyone alone today!? I kept my hands on the bass and carried on tuning it. Kate hated being ignored so she slammed her hand on the keys one final time then stood closer to me,
"Hi Jade"
"What."
"Rude"
"To you? Yes I am" I smiled, whilst still looking away from her and at the bass.
Kate was about to say something else, but only one syllable left her mouth because she was cut-off from the teacher saying; "Class, I have to go to the staff room to collect some papers I left behind. When I return I will put you into groups that you will have to perform with, so make sure you have your instruments ready"
Wow Miss, great timing to leave.
As soon as the door shut I was pushed against the piano, causing random notes to be slammed down, making noise which drew everyone's attention to us.
***Faiths P.O.V***
I heard the piano make a load of random notes. I turned to see Jade pushed up against it by Kate.
"Wow Jade. Your such a loser!" she spat in her face.
Talk about rude. Kate can't leave anyone alone for two minutes.
"And you're ugly," she laughed in her face.
That's it. This has to stop.
"Oh shut up Kate! She's a lot prettier than you!" I shout. I heard a few 'ooooohs'.
"What did you say?!" Kate said moving away from Jade.
"You heard. Now leave everyone alone!" I yell. The teacher came in. Everyone ran back to their seats quickly.
As Kate walked away from Jade, Jade held up the bass and she looked like she was about to swing it at Kate but Jerome quickly rushed over and took the bass off of her. I could see them speaking but... I can't lip read, so all I saw was Jade shake her head, then they both returned to their seats.
