A/N: Sorry, this chapter is terrible. I tried to fix it but, honestly ( :D ) it wasn't helping the chapter at all. I'm sorry, but the next one is better. Just a reminder of the title, I swear it does fit, you just gotta keep reading. Also, for those of you who read this but haven't looked at anything else that I've done, I have taken to writing the occasional one shot (4 of them to date) and I just posted a new one, in case you were interested. Other than that, the story finishes on Chapter 31, I'll post information with regards to sequels and next in the publishing line etc at the end of the chapter. Enjoy the rest of the story!

Once again, I found myself painting with Juliet. This time we were in the back garden, painting the pool from near the hot tub. I hadn't painted myself and Vic into this one like I had n the beach, but he was no further than my mind. I hadn't been to the hot tub since the night he told me that he wouldn't give up, and all it did was remind me of how calm I'd felt, and how that he'd left me that night, only to take the easy, comfortable feeling with him.

Juliet had already given me strange smiles, and asked me about the day after it happened. I'd started to ignore all of her cryptic smiles, she was almost acting like she knew something that I didn't, but it didn't interest me, so I just painted instead.
"Hey Kellin, how's the dancing. You have't said much about it recently." I shrugged my shoulders at her, and continued putting the final dabs on my canvas, completing the painting. "Can you lead?"
"No, Vic always does."
"You should practise leading. Here, we can practise now, and then you can surprise Vic with it."
"Sure, Juliet. The next four hours between now and Jaime, Mike and Tony getting home is enough time to perfect my leading skills."
"You'll never know if you don't try. Come on!"

Before I knew it, Juliet had taken my painting things off of me, and had me stood opposite her, bowing ready for a waltz. We didn't have any music, but when I'd pointed this out, Juliet reminded me that we could both sing well enough to hum the basic underlines. It started with her having to remind me what I needed to do, all the secretive nudges to indicate which foot was first, and then to remind her when I needed to lift her, or spin her around. It took us a few goes, but then I started to get better, pulling her in the circles, but still gliding with her.

We broke briefly for lunch, then went right back to waltzing around the pool. It was fun with Juliet, we weren't taking it seriously at all, almost just two friends messing around. We were both laughing like crazy from a lift that had gone wrong, and ended up with both of us falling into the pool, but got straight back out and started dancing again. That was how Tony found us, soaking wet, laughing, smiling, and dancing around on the poolside.

"What on Earth have you been up to? Actually, tell me later. Vic's got another exam, so we were going to head out to the arcade. You two want to come?" I looked at Juliet, who shook her head.
"No, I spent enough time in arcades with Andy in the early days of our relationship. You should go, Kellin. I need to make sure that my dress fits properly, and see if they are done with Andy's suit anyway."
"You sure?" She smiled at me, nodding.
"I'll see you in a few days anyway. Tony, do you have a towel or something I could use to dry off before I get into my car?"
"Sure. I'll get something, while Kellin goes and gets changed." I took my cue and started moving towards the house, waving at Juliet as I did so.

Getting dried and dressed didn't take long, and I made my way to the front door, to find that Juliet was still here, talking to Tony, Jaime and Mike. They didn't seem to notice me coming, and continued their conversation.
"I agree, there has got to be something more going on."
"He blushed when he looked at the hot tub, and when I notice things. I don't think he's realised it though."
"Realised what?" They all jumped, and turned to face me.
"That you haven't got your suit yet. Juliet's going to take you with her now, to get it sorted out, and then bring you over to the arcade afterwards."
"We've got to go back to mine first, quickly, so I can check that my dress is okay. If it isn't, then I'll get a new one. Andy's going to come with us, since he needs to pick up his suit, meaning that they will be checking it fits properly."
"Cool."
"Let's go. See you later, guys."

Juliet's house was down on the beach, away from the main town. You could literally walk out of their back gate onto the soft sand. The entire side of the house facing the beach was glass, panels that could be moved to one side to open it up to the outside. The house was't anywhere near as big as the one Vic had, but it was still much bigger than anything that I'd ever lived in before Vic walked in. We didn't stop for long, just long enough that I could sit and have a conversation with Andy while Juliet decided that she needed a new dress.

We headed into a new town, on the other side f their house to the one I'd been to a few times. Here, we stopped in a shop, selling all forms of formal wear imaginable. Juliet walked straight up to one of the shop assistants, who clearly knew her, and bustled off to retrieve Andy's suit. I was then taken straight to the suits, being showed five or six different ones.
"Kellin, I think they charcoal grey one is really nice. You should try it on." Juliet mentioned, as the young girl charged with helping me held them up again.
"Okay, I guess I'll try that one on then."

I was then pushed towards the dressing rooms, where and older woman was stood, measuring tape in hand.
"Come on, lets get that suit on to you, see how the colours look, and then I'll take your measurements so that we can make the suit to fit you perfectly. It won't take long." She led me to a cubicle, hung the suit up on the rail, and then closed the curtain so that I could change privately. The suits itself was only a little bit on the big side, and when I walked out of the cubicle, the both the lady and Juliet were there waiting for me.
"That is it, get that one Kellin. It looks great, don't you think?" When I'd seen it in the mirror, it had looked nice, really dark grey jacket, trousers and tie, paired with a white shirt.
"Yeah, sure."

Once I'd taken the suit off, and put my own clothes back on, the lady took my measurements, and said that my suit would be ready within the next few days. Juliet found a long red dress, which fitted perfectly, so she didn't have to be measured up, and could just buy the dress as it was. Once we'd finished, we got back into Juliet's car, and she drove to the arcade, where Tony was waiting outside for me.
"Jeez, what took you guys so long? Come on, Mike's trying to beat the high score on Donkey Kong again."
"It took a little while to get Kellin measured up, and I had to get a new dress while we were there."
"You guys are playing Donkey Kong? Who was the last high score?"
"Mike. He beat your one about a year ago." Andy scowled, and Juliet looked very alarmed.
"Right, we've got things to do. I'll see you later." They pulled off, driving away before Andy could get out and join us in the arcade.
"Come on, Kellin. Let's get you a drink on the way."

A few hours later, I'd failed Donkey Kong five times, before Mike started to teach me what to do, so I started to get a little bit better. I'd also trashed Jaime on the pool table, since I'd spent my two years in the home playing on the table that we had there.
"Damn, you're good at that. Jaime is the best out of us, and has won some tournaments back home. But you've just cleared the table against him three times. How?"
"Two years playing near constantly. Even if there wasn't anyone else to play, I'd still be potting balls, finding more ridiculous angles until there were very few shots I was unable to make a pot on." Tony was still shaking his head in disbelief as we headed back to the car.
"Well, we'll have to get you to play Jaime more often then. Not right now though, we need to get you back, so that you can change and get ready for your dinner. Vic made reservations for about half seven, so you should have plenty of time." I'd almost forgotten that I was eating out that night with Vic. That meant that my days at the house were now going to be consumed by decorating ready for the ball, and then afterwards, I'd be preparing to move out. It felt strange to think that I wouldn't be living at the house for much longer.
