"Get in the car!" Carter shouted at me.

"You just got your license ten minutes ago. How'd you get here so fast?" I looked at him in his moms tiny mustang.

"I drove! I passed! Get in the caaaaar!" He banged on the door.

"I am not getting in the car with you" I laughed shaking my head

He stuck out his lower lip in a classic puppy dog pout.

"Don't do it!" I covered my eyes "I'm not looking and I'm not getting in the car! Carter!"

"Mickeyyyyyyy" he used my nickname. Michaela was too hard for him to say in kindergarten "why don't you love me?"

"Don't play that!" I shouted at him horrified while laughing "I will walk back inside right now!"

"If you were gonna walk back inside you would have done it right now. Get in the car. I'll buy you ice cream"

I made extended eye contact. His smile broadened while I pondered it "two scoops?"

"I'll even get you sprinkles! Get. In. The. Car."

"Okaaaaaayyy okay okay okay! I'm getting in the car" I threw up my hands dramatically and walk to the passenger side. I don't go to open it so he rolls down the window and leans over.

"What do you think you're doing?"

I out my hands on my hips and smirk at him "if you're already kissing ass you might as well go all out"

"I hate you" he laughs throwing open the door and walking over to me. He bows and opens my door "your highness"

I sit down and he slams the door behind me. I almost bash my head on the dashboard from laughing when carter slides across the hood of the car and leaps back in the car. I wipe away a tear before he starts up the car.

"We're going to die aren't we?" I ask finally calming down

"I'm a good driver" he says slamming on the gas pedal and pulling out of my driveway "I would never crash"
