Just a small warning, even if you wouldn't need it. This story is not a happy, fun story of a princess who finds her true love, or a book about a glad elf, named Timmy who has to gather the kind hearts of people to make an adorable love potion. No, sadly, if you were looking for the 'Timmy the lovely elf' book, you probably have turned down the wrong section in the library, or someone placed this book next to the colossal mess of 'Peggy Pretty Princess' books in a messed up pile on the carpet in your school library, no, this is a depressing story of four girls with a very terrible backstory, who try and make the most of the worst and most awful people in their company. Sorry, but you can still check this book out, or put it back in the pile you found it, buried beneth the 'Peggy Pretty Princess' books were you found it. If not, the gate has opened, why on earth are you still reading this paragraph, the gate has opened, go on, youngling...

"Nyx? Arthemis? Amphitrite? Where are you? We have to go to school or we'll miss our home room!" Called out Herma.

The four girls had been adopted for as long as they remember. Not even their adopted parents know the story of their parents, neither did they care. Their adopted parents were Elinore Dalened and Thomas J. Dalened. Elinore and Thomas had one misbehaving child of their own, who was about two to three years older than the quadruplets. Those girls are useually called 'The odd quad' for many reasons other than they have no trace of their parents and their history, but no past either. All that was left was a letter showing their names, a small toy for each, and four large craddles, which would rock to make sure none of them cried during the night. That was all they were given with. The girls with short bodies and small faces only had their first names and birth dates. That was all. No birth certificate or anything actually useful. So, with nothing useful of the kids, that's exactly what they thought of them. Good for nothing accidents that were dumped on the Dalened's arms. That's all they seemed to the Dalened's, no ones, no beings, nothing's.

The three lost girls all hoped down, jumbling together, falling over in a rush. Herma stood waiting, as she read a fascinating book that she could deeply relate to in a way. Herma only had two places that she felt she belonged in, a first place spot at a competition, or a library, reading all the books she possibly could check out at a time. She enjoyed reading useless books, like nonfiction or fairy tails, a bit like this story your have in your hands right now. "We're coming!" The girls called out as they scurried to the door where Herma stood. "Thank you!" Called out Herma as they reached the door. Silence stood beside the girls....moments and...moments...of silence......."I FORGOT SOMETHING!" Called out all the girls as they ran back up the stairs to their rooms. By this rate, they would never make it to homeroom on time, which missing a class is something these girls are perfectly fine with doing, like every other fifth grade girl or boy.
