All my life I was buried in books, buried in romance and buried in fantasies. I love reading, why? Because with every book I read, I get the chance to live a life that wasn’t mine. I get to experience falling in love, heartaches and at the end, it’s always a happily ever after. I got burned once when I tried to find my happily ever after. It wasn’t love, it wasn’t truly love. I wasn’t in love, at that time I was in love with the idea of loving him. It hurt both of us in the end. But it won’t happen again because never will I believe the promise of the word ‘Always’.

                All my life I was buried in books, buried in romance and buried in fantasies. I write to keep the legacy of Danielle Price. My sister who always believed in happy ever afters. She didn’t get to have a shot on hers because life was cruel and cancer took away that chance. On her death bed, I gave her that promise. I’ll write to give life to the happy ever afters she never got but I didn’t expect that because of that, I’ll find mine. She said to me, “The keyword for my happy ever after is never, Dash.” Back then, I misunderstood. But I know now, the promise of the word ‘Never’.

                I’ll never let anything or anyone hurt you.

                I’ll never leave your side.

The girl who believes she can’t truly fall in love and the guy who will change her mind. Not with the promise of always, but with the promise of never.
